Um.... I don't remember how this was done in past years . . . are people going to make "presentations" to encourage people to vote for their city/area? I don't really know what I'm voting for, and I'd like to make an informed decision. Otherwise, I'll probably just vote for whatever's closest to me. But then again, I don't know what part of Florida this is, or what part of rural Ohio . . . . I'm confuzzled.

This is just a preliminary "getting a feel" for what people want. Florida would probably be Orlando, so we could have a "host" S'cubie. "Rural Ohio" I'll get back to you on.

So, why should us left-coast people vote?
No choices for us, again.

So, why should us left-coast people vote? No choices for us, again. Well, there is Colorado.

where the heck is breckenbridge? Colorado. Outside of Denver, about half an hour or so. It's in the mountains. It's pretty.

Rural Ohio - that would surely be me hosting . . . and I was thinking of the Hocking Hills somewhere. That's about . . . 35 miles south of Columbus. So if you were flying, there would be driving involved, though I could surely arrange to pick a bunch of people up at the Cols airport if we worked it out. It would have to involve probably, several cabins and such. I could provide links to possibilities if desired . . . but don't want to be "campaigning" if we aren't supposed to be doing that.

I have not voted yet, I am a an impass. Colombus, Chicago, Indy and Florida are all a drivable distance for me (10 hours or less). But I have always wanted to go to Denver and Breckenridge would be really cool as well. But it is about 200 dollars per person for a flight from Huntsville. So I will have to think on it some more.

Florida would be nice if we could go to Disneyworld.
Florida would not be nice if I have to visit my parental units.
I like mountains.

I really have always wanted to go to Denver. But I've never been to Orlando, either. And Ohio would mean road trip, and I love road trips. So, whatever the winner is of this poll, that's not the final decision? Is this the only vote that all S'cubies will have a say in, as far as location? I don't know what to choose!

I know we are not this far advanced in the planning area, but Dates would have an effect on my choice as well. I am going to Disneyworld the first week of September already. So if it really close to that date then I doubt I would be able to attend. Plus making that 10 - 11 hour drive each way within a couple of weeks would be rough. I am leaning toward the Ohio region, Or the Denver region with Florida staying in the mix depending on the dates we have it.

So, why should us left-coast people vote? No choices for us, again. Nothing for us in the "third-coast" either.
