So I got the title wrong. So sue me. This time, *I'm* the First. AND the second.

*Noooooooo* I guess I should have anticipated that ending but oh my goodness- I wish I could clear the image of Spike’s face being... seared.... to the bone....I think exquisitely painful begins to do justice to my feelings My feelings of pain are fully matched by my happiness that Buffy has been able to find a way to share the burden of Slayerness. It is the perfectly humanist and feminist way to allocate the powers. I will be re-watching this episode for the rest of the summer but right now I will put it away tenderly as it is too devastating to watch so soon

I'm still absorbing that it's over so I won't say much yet but it was worth it. Cried twice: when the little leaguer looks up from under the visor of her batting helmet and narrows her eyes and when Xander said, "That's my girl - always doing stupid stuff." My very understanding husband just poured me a refill on my glass of wine so here's an extra toast to all of the people who understand my need for Kleenex tonight.

Anybody notice? On last week's previews they showed Spike all glowy, saying "I wanna see how it ends" It didn't make it into the episode. Strange.

Athene - my picture and sound was pretty bad, but I thought there at the last of it, Spike said something about seeing it through. Lee Parish

Am not ready for discussion, so I posted a toast at the end of part 31. I will, however, say--not disappointed! And...thank heavens for the news from Angel (the show, not the character).

I'm not ready to discuss either. I'll be reading what all of you have to say. If I didn't know he was going to Angel, I would be very unhappy. As it was, I guess I am sad but proud.

Posting Together Again for the First Time (SPOILERS) This is Patti - ok, sobbed my EYES out...what a beautiful beautiful episode...even though I really hated that Spike said Buffy didn't love him. I don't believe it. I choose not to believe it. I think he just wanted her to leave and let him finish it. I don't know. It was hard seeing him go all flamey. (Spike on Angel, Spike on Angel....) I loved everything else. I loved that he saved the world. I loved that he was laughing as he died/whatever happened...I loved the whole Angel business with the soul. I loved D&D! More later, we have to watch OMWF now so we can sing and laugh again.
THis is Diane masquerading as Patti.' First off, I will NOT watch a first-run Buffy with her again. Omigod can she CRY!!!! Me? Misty, sighing, gasping a lot and a couple of yee-HA's to go with. Nothing obnoxious (too much.) So what do I say after WOW!? Willow all white and glowy. I thought for a minute she would stay that way the way she did as Darth Rosenberg, but it faded. Guess the instance of violence against women is about to drop dramatically. I have to recover before I view this agaih. I'm `still shaking. (Thank god Patti had the foresight to stock in plenty of Zinfandel.) Oh, Anya! Pattii again: PS. Now DIANE is CRYING!!!
