Spring, hyterical review of Aqua! Sorry I'm so late telling you that.
I just finished watching the vampire episode (5.5) and I have a couple random comments.
1. Is Tom Welling the worst actor ever, or what? Sorry, I'm not usually this mean, but he makes Marc Blucas look like Lawrence Olivier. Seriously, I will never bash Marc Blucas' acting again after this.
2. I colored my hair yesterday, and tonight watching Smallville, I realize I inadvertantly colored my hair the exact same shade as Prof. Milton Fine's. So, if you want to be Brainiac for Halloween, use Garnier Nutrisse Chocolate Caramel. Hee!

I mean - I never watched before this season, and I'm not sure what to make of him, or Clark. I thought he was kinda cute being "Carlos," but other than that, was mostly . . . passable. He is terribly cute, but - I dunno. Will wait and see if he grows on me a bit, but with the much juicier characters of Lex and Milton around, it's hard to notice Clark. Chocolate Caramel, huh? I THOUGHT he looked good enough to eat!

I'm lifting this from the post I just made on the main board because I just saw this thread:
I just read your "Spike's Bits" piece on the Aquaman ep. I was laughing out loud all the way through. Boy, can you write the funny.
I think I was lucky that the first ep I saw of Smallville in preparation for watching it this season for the JM nummy treats was one with VERY cartoonish bad guys and storyline. So I realized I was watching a televised, live-action comic book, and that I should never expect anything more of the show. This allowed me to enjoy it at the same level I enjoy comics, not expecting anything more and being happy when they throw in the occasional well-acted or well-written scene.
Also, James Marsters. Nuff said.

Thank you, Spring, for your definitive, insightful analysis of this episode. I can almost believe in the intellectual interest you have in James' nekkidity manly attributes character. ;D Linda,
