Hey! Tony Crane was on Doctor Who—he was the main protagonist of the second season "the Doctor and his companion are supporting characters" episode. Love and Monsters? Yes, that's Marc Warren...he shows up in a lot of stuff. He's also in "State of Play" with John Simm and Philip Glenister. And Matthew Graham, one of the co-creators of Life on Mars? Wrote the episode "Fear Her" from the second series of Doctor Who. (Not one of my favorites, but hey.)

And with Tony Crane we get another example of someone from Sam's future, only this one maybe knows the future too. Or maybe not. And maybe Sam changes the future (21st century Tony changes from being the crime boss trying to kill him for trying to take down his empire to the crazy guy who escapted from the institution that 1970's Sam sent him to) or maybe that's all just in his head. But mostly I'm all oohing and ahing and curious about the apparent phone conversation with someone who knows what's going on. "The job's almost done"?!? Oh! And I loved the bit where Hunt is all "we have no flippin' evidence . . . and I can't believe I'm sayin' that". ;D
