It's a godawful small affair...

Whoa! Really liked this one. Mostly because of the Irish connection.

Interesting how Sam keeps trying to directly apply/rely on what he knows of the past, even though he's seen how this reality he's in is changeable, etc.
Also, the whole opening scene with the questioning of his judgement and so on.

Classic "the yellow wire, no the red wire, no the yellow" etc. Made me fondly remember Anya.

What if he's innocent? Excellent question. We're the police, everyone trusts us. Um. That wasn't true even back then. Oh, yay! Blown up guy is back. But, unlike what he says, he's not fine, I think. Oooooooh, scary little girl is back! "You're always right. Go with your instincts." Eeep!

Blown up guy is definitely not alright. Ooooh! TW next season ad! Yay! That's not so good. I told you to wait, that he wasn't armed. "You haven't got time to piss about thinking." No time to think? Back to the idea of "instincts" and so on. And not thinking sounds like a bad idea to me.

What do I do. Go with what I know, or trust my instincts. And, of course, the priest isn't a priest. I think he's calling smart detective work as instincts. When asked to explain why he doesn't think the guy and the IRA are involved, he's got good clues. I was afraid that Annie wouldn't him/believe in him like before. But it looks like now he's got proof, so . . . Oh! Bank! So it's straight up robbery then. With the maps and stuff they still don't want to believe him. Oh, they will, "just as long as I'm more right than you". ;D

Oooooh! Hunt is going on his instincts . . . but Sam and Annie's instincts are better. It's all about his family and they play on that. But then again, he doesn't shoot him, so Hunt was sort of right too. Just his style wouldn't have worked without the other two. Oh, now they all clap for him. Heh! And the Thatcher jokes keep coming. ;D Ah, demonstrated "healthy brain activity". This is starting to feel like a game/challenge thing. Sort of like The Prisoner, only more in his head. P.S. I love the music on this show.
