Another weevil hunt.
Ianto is wearing another pink shirt. I sense a theme.
It's Martha!!! Squee!
And she's also
Martha is a doctor now. Yay! And she's a part of Unit. So they've reconstructed it then.
Puncture mark in the eyeball. That must be some painful make-up. (I'm assuming it's make up and not prosthetic).
End of the world survivors club.
It's the jawline; once seen always yearned for. *Nods* and Hee!
Unit recruited her; "highly recommended by an impeccable source." Wondering if it's actually the Doctor or not.
We must be the only two people on the planet. Ha!
Singularity scalpel. This, my friends, is why there's OSHA (or whatever the equivalent is) regulations.
Destroying evidence
Who'd assassinate a student? Student loans company? Hee!
She's so normal, she's abnormal. Interesting. She's the ideal test subject.
Cured diabetic. So those were the experiments.
Cured HIV as well.
Reset. Like Recon.
Pharm. Those dastardly pharmaceutical companies!
She dies. And then bugs fly out of her mouth.
Alien larvae. Like the tapeworm pill.
Hey, it's Daniel's dad!
The head of the organization meets all the test subjects personally?
These spy contacts are really cool.
Ah, the genetic transfer and the cosmic radiation. Dammit.
Dude, that was a bad special effect.
Hee, remote control driving the truck.
Sibling cannibalism. Cool.
So Martha got together with the other doctor? Cool.
Wow, did they really kill Owen off?

This was the second episode this season that was about a company taking advantage of aliens in order to make a profit. Is this going to be a running theme?

This was the second episode this season that was about a company taking advantage of aliens in order to make a profit. Is this going to be a running theme? Always has been on Doctor Who plus it's the basic function of Torchwood, even if TW3 haven't been very good at it yet

OMG, thy killed Owen!
You bastards!
Despite that, because I've only just watched it and not seen subsequent eps, the scene where Martha gets Ianto to describe Jack's proclivities as "innovative bordering on the avante guard" just makes pretty much the whole ep too cute for words.
<edit> Doy, I don't mean the whole ep, I meant that scene.

I dunno. I just have the feeling that Owen's only mostly dead, not go-through-his-pockets-and-look-for-loose-change dead. And I haven't read any spoilers or anything like that—it's just a gut reaction. However, I was absolutely certain when Owen said he'd go out on a date with Tosh that one of them was going to have something calamitous happen to them by the end of the hour.

Martha!! And she's working for Unit!! Wheeeeeeeeee! What's the what with the victim? "End of the world survivers club" and "do you miss him". We all owe you a favor. I'd say so. Heh! Gwen and Martha, not getting it on with Jack? "We must be the only two people on the planet!" "I know. What are we doing wrong?" Heh! ;D Heh! Ianto actually yelled! And then goes all crankily calm again. ;D Another victim! Only alive, so they can find out what's up. Also, why wipe their medical records? Ooh, I like the Doctor Owen and Doctor Martha team. Cool!! Heh! We were under the same Doctor. They work well together. Owen tends to rise to a challenge when he's trying to impress. And Martha likes to banter and tease someone who is trying to impress.

Intriguing - conspiracy. Clinical, professional, assassination.
Student loan people. Heh!
She's so normal, she's abnormal. Hmmmmmm. So, there was something done to all these people, and the later attack with a needle was just to get rid of the evidence. Something done that made them all better, healthy from things that they shouldn't have been able to be cured of.
Ooooh. A secret medical place called the "pharm"? Yup. Illegal drug testing, I'm thinking. Oh, wow!! Nanites or something like that? Looks like it!!

OK, alien larva, not nanites. But still. Ewwwwww! Fixes everything but give you an icky alien larva thing too. Bleargh! Armed guards, they're fine with having Torchwood come on by, and the head of the place is doing that obnoxious mistaken name thing that shows how he thinks he's all superior to them. I'm suspicious already. ;D Plus, they're underestimating who they're up against, which means they think they're above the law and connected enough to get away with it. Oh, Owen gets to play "good cop" to Jack's "obnoxious cop". Heee! "I had a bad experience with a politician recently. I tend not to listen to Whitehall anymore." Ooooooh, Jack! I love when he's all piercing eyes looking right through you, tough and cynical in-charge guy! **gets happy shiver** Highest concentration of alien life forms this side of the rift. Well. That's probably not a good thing, eh? Martha going under-cover. "I've been in worse places, and you know it." "I'd rely on Martha if the world was ending. In fact, I did." ;D I like the Ianto and Martha scene. First, all business-y and efficient. And then the fun. 'Cuz Martha always does love to tease. A unit cap for Ianto. Heee! Oh, the fun and games . . . . "We dabble." "Innovative, bordering on the avant garde." Heh!! I love Jack's name-dropping. Isherwood - woot! ;D And I love Owen's little "OMG, he's doing it again" eye roll. Also? The contact camera thing with texting is so uber-cool! I want one of my own!!! Heeee! "Did I mention she was brilliant?" I love Martha. Not only is she cool, but she's always so . . . . fun!

Interesting. I couldn't tell if the look on Jack's face as she mentioned all the places she'd been was just concern that she not say something that would cause them not to take her as a volunteer, or if it was making him remember all her "save the world" traveling. Saying she has Hepatitis . . . won't they check for that? Does she really have it or can she fake her blood sample? And I'm a bit worried that they don't always wait for permission to inject things into people. Ooooh. Owen is smitten. But I think Tosh and her would be a nice match, actually. But she still has her eyes on Owen. I'm not sure he's the best bet for you, Tosh! He only wants the ones who, frankly, don't want him. Still, one date, to see how it goes . . . I suppose they should at least try and see what happens. I think it would actually be very very frustrating and hard to be watching thru her eyes, so to speak. You'd have all the tension and worry while knowing there was nothing you could do right away if things went horribly wrong at some point. And things always go horribly wrong, sooner or later. Hmmmmm. Aren't they worried about there being security cameras or something? Beautiful and lethal. Run, Martha!! (Actually, that could kind of describe Martha, a bit, too. ;D ) Something escaped? And, meanwhile, back at the Hub, they're finding the unusual hire (for a research lab) of a hit man. And we learn that Jack knows CIA terms for assasins, which I suppose is not surprising, eh? Oh! And a research person who hasn't been killed yet? Can they find her and help her maybe? And there goes clever Martha. Able to run around escaping and learning about secret labs and what not, all in heels! Run, Martha, run! Oh, classic "companion" move, that. Run toward the danger. ;D Holy crap. Something tells me that's what the larva grow up to be.

Gwen and Ianto off to get the not dead/about to be killed test subject - in time! Yay!! Oh! And, yes, they can use this guy to get info to help them get in the lab! Uh, oh. Things not looking so good for Martha. Hmmmm. So, they know of her connection to TW, but do they think she's just some poor soul off the street that Jack hooked into doing this? Do they not know that she's Unit? Ah, boss guy is continuing his assumption that they're above TW. "Torchwood is irrelevant to us." Hmmmmm. Gonna have your opinion changed, I think. And I wonder why Martha's blood work was odd . . . because of something they planned? Because of her travels with the Doctor? Heh! Coercion by Weevil. Ianto makes a nice Weevil-wrangler. Ah, yes. Changes to her because of he travels with the Doctor. Oh no! Don't give her the drug. Oh. My. Bug exploding out of him? Not good. So very not good. Hmmmmm. The lab guy's assistant does not seem as happy about what they're doing to Martha. "We're making history." Um, no, you're doing the equivalent of hitting the keys on a computer keyboard at random, hoping you'll get something neat. Not really research, though. Heh! Tosh is "warped on the inside". What, did she realize they can use his fingers for prints to be scanned or something? Or is she thinking to use his face or whole body? Heeee! Whole body, taped to the wheel. Funny and icksome, all at once. Sibling canabalism. Well, not unheard of in the bug world. So, what are they keeping and draining to get the drug? Are they holding the large bugs? Is this like the whale-esque thing, where they are holding aliens against their will in order to use them? Or are there people in the tubes, like ones who have the larva inside them and are being drained? Or . . . ? Ick! Bug inside Martha. Can they get it out without having it erupt out? Oh, crap. Will he try to use the machine again?
