Part II
OK, Cavill is One. Doesn't that have any significance? Order of creation or something? 4's and 5's agree with him. And where are the 4's and the 5's during this conference?
Oh, yeah, no D'Anna, so they're at a stalemate.
So Leoben is a two.
Oh, there's Doral. So I guess they're all there.
Boomer goes against her model. Interesting. Why would she do that?
About model lines fracturing. Developing identities.
Divine plan in their design.
Strip pyramid?
Oh, Lee's going away party.
Ohh, I hope that Lee's got a high tolerance.
Absent friends: read Starbuck.
So he rebuilt the ship he smashed. Aurora.
Is Adama going to change his mind?
Oh Tory, you're not really going to do it, are you?
Wait, Baltar is hallucinating himself now?
HallucinationBaltar is hi-larious.
Also Baltar's neck scarf is weird.
Baltar's questioning HallucinationBaltar. Interesting.

Part III
Trial for Kara?
On the question of miracles.
Oh, Roslin missed when she was shooting Kara. Or did she?
Callback to the mini-series.
On coincidences and finding meaning.
Are Roslin and Adama breaking up?
Hair falling out. Oh no.
Lee visiting Kara in the brig. Another callback to the mini-series.
About having a destiny.
Good luck on your journey. Aww...
And they kiss. I believe you.
Echoes of old conversations.
Send off for Lee.
Now, this is really touching, but I kind of feel like way too much to the episode is devoted to Lee and the fleet parting ways. I hope that becomes justified.
Oh, and I love the music.
Retrofitting the Raiders.
Faceoff between Cavill and Caprica. Wait, is this Caprica who's changed her hair or is this another 6 model? ETA: Oh, yeah. Caprica is on the Galactica. So this is a new version.
Calling in the Centurions. To execute them?

Part IV
Oh, and Tory really did sleep with Baltar. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's just something I do during sex. Oh, Tory.
About the one true god.
Ah, enabling the higher functions in the Centurions. clever.
Slaughter.
And they've just destabilized the entire Clyon. This should be really interesting.
Also, the Cylons are so busy with their own thing that they're not going to be bothering with the fleet for a while.
Letting Kara go. Giving her a ship to bring back evidence. And Helo's going along. A good resolution, and should be interesting.

That could be very dangerous to the humanoid models in the long run. What happens if the Centurions and Raiders decide to "rebel" against the skinjobs, like the Cylons rebelled against the humans? Does it end? I'm also curious to learn what they think of all the other orders they've carried out up until this point.

And then the Centurions turn against the Raiders, or vice versa, and then . . . Anarchy! Mass hysteria! Dogs and cats, living together! Hm, I don't see the Centurions turning against the Raiders. I saw the Centurions offing the 1, 4, and 5 models as revenge against what they were trying to do to the Raiders, and for what had already been done to the Centurions. Why would the Raiders turn against the Centurions? They helped stop their dumbdown. Oh, I didn't mean we saw anything like that in htis ep. I was just doing a (rather silly) riff on the whole thing. And I wouldn't be surprised if some skinjobs end up getting boxed as part of all this.

the cylon politics were fascinating to me in this episode. i thought it was so interesting that half of the human models felt like it was perfectly justified to lobotomize the raiders, even though they'd rebelled from the humans for being treated like lesser beings themselves. it reminded me a lot of similar sorts of things in our own human history. also, boomer siding with them? really interesting.
and that half of them correctly guessed (as we viewers knew) what the raiders breaking off meant, and the other half assumed it was a malfunction and decried their idea as absurd? also really interesting.
so was the president really aiming for kara or did she just say she was? i found that whole scene kind of confusing and it sounds like maybe some of you did too.
i agree with Liz when she said:
i liked the scenes but it did feel to me like an awful lot of the episode was taken up by them. as a result this episode felt to me like it was somewhat slower-paced than last week (not that that is necessarily a bad thing).
hallucination!baltar was too too funny. i hope he stays around. ;D
and tigh sending tory to baltar? ugh. slippery slope territory.

Oh. My. God. This is such an interesting twist with the raiders taking arms against Cavill and company at Six's command! So, they're sentient and not just programmed fighters. Very interesting. Oops. They're Centurions. And, they have the ability to reason! Wow! When that was revealed, my first reaction was a whoop that could be translated as "oh no she DIDN'T!" Then I thought "Can, open. Worms, EVERYWHERE." So, I've got two different sources saying we now know the model number of the Cylon humanoids we're familiar with: 1. Cavil 2. Leoben 3. D'Anna 4. Simon 5. Doral 6. Do they even have a name we associate with them? The apparent leader of the Sixes now is called Natalie, so I'm gonna go with that. 8. Sharon The 1 and 2 thing was quite clear at the beginning there, but while I didn't catch it the BSG Wiki indicates they also specified the Simons are Fours. Given that the Galactica Four appear to be unique models without duplicates, I wonder if that means the final Cylon is model 7? 'Cause otherwise skipping the number strikes me as not very Cylon-like.

Part I Ooh, the hybrid again. Thinking that the Hybrid knows something about the Final Five. Now the Seven know the Final Five are in the fleet. Because the Raider broke off attack. Does Cavill have a particular reason to want to avoid discussion about the Final Five? Is he in charge now or something? Discussing the Final Five is forbidden. Forbidden by whom? Discussion of the Final Five threatens the Seven's survival? Who are the original programmers? The Raiders exceeded their programming. Hmm. But isn't that what happened originally? The Cylons exceeded the Colonists' programming and they "evolved?" Now the Seven need to dumb them down again. Doesn't that go against their programming? Tools, not pets. And that's the attitude that caused the first Cylon War, isn't it? Cavill invokes God, even though he's an atheist. Or is it just one Cavill who's an athiest. Need a majority to make any decision. 4's and 5's will be on Cavills side. Really? And who are the 4's and 5's again. Raiders are aware of everything. That makes sense, and is also going to make it hard for the human models to retrofit them. Paralleling one Cylon counsel with another. Everyone else in the fleet is going to start getting suspicious of what these four are up to, meeting all the time like this. But people are probably going to guess wrong about what is going on with them. Discussing Starbuck. On whether Starbuck is the Final Cylon. On whether Baltar is the Final Cylon. Oh, on whether to ask whether he knows who the Final Cylon is. Baltar is accomplished at two things: lying in his cell, and lying in a woman. BWAH! Tigh pimping out Tory to Baltar? EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adama confronts Starbuck. It was like Starbuck had been to Earth before, like she had never left. Hmm. Although, wasn't she and the rest of them technically on Earth when they went to that planetarium thing on Kobol? Or doesn't that count? Calling Adama the President's wetnurse. Damn! My feeling is that the original programmer is either the Final Cylon or the human who was the prototype for the Final Cylon. God? In Cylon-speak would that be the "original programmer"? leftylady

The hybrid who's driving their ship is saying some very very interesting things while chillin' in her navigation goo-bath. Evolution, eh? Heh! Not vomit metaphysics. ;D Brother Cavil trying to lay down the law. And both the raiders and the skin jobs are starting to question it. Hmmm. The "original programmers". You know, if the 4 of 5 keep meeting like this, folks are going to start to wonder. OMG. They think Baltar might have the answer. And Tigh? You're a pig. Daddy Adama is mad at Kara. OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I did not see that level of bitterness and cruelty coming! And Katie S is killing me here - damn! Okay, so...is it just me, or does ANY plan involving telling Baltar ANYTHING seem like a bad idea? Oh, yes. Let's potentially give him all the blackmail material he needs. Not that he has it, yet, but...he's pretty smart, that Baltar. And I do NOT approve of the Tigh plan. Ick, ick, ick.

Does it end? Well, you know, "this has all happened before". Dave has a theory that there ARE no humans, only cycles of Cylons replacing one another. The real humans all got wiped out a long time ago. Also, I haven't gone over to the previous ep thread, but I say again: there are now TWO cylon:human hybrid babies out there, since the Chief is a daddy.

Reminiscent of "The One" and Zion in The Matrix, despite the fact that we learned that in the movies that followed, which no one seems to appreciate. You're right. There are two "hybrid" babies out there, but are they really hybrids if we have cycles of Cylons replacing themselves?

Yup, and the fact that there are two cylon/human hybrids is something the producers have said they'll be addressing over the course of the season.
