These recent eps are just blowing me out of the water, each one. I mean, damn!! I was just going to say that they really have pulled out all the stops this season. They are certainly ending things with a bang, not a whimper.

Oh, Tory! Kinky! Gotta say, it's interesting how Baltar keeps being such a magnet for strong Cylon women that like to hurt him. Ah. Storming the Baltar hidey hole. Vigilantes? Damn violent vigilantes, I'm thinking. Damn! Hmmmm. Chief maybe not paying attention on the job? Will this be taken as another "was it his Cylonicity coming out" question? Ah, religious fundamentalists attacked him? Because of the whole "there is only one God" thing? "The old Gods are fighting back." So, nice parallel to the dissent among the Cylons. Yep. His fault and thus an opportunity to go ballistic over the "you're only human" comment. Oh, goody. Now head!Six is encouraging Baltar in his God delusions? Oy! Oooooooh! Now he's all "destroy the temple" and rant about the Gods and so on. (Well. Can they pile on the Jesus imagery more? ) " Oooo "hard to tell the pleasure from the pain." and "can never do wrong"....oh, Baltar think he's Cylon? Oh. Goodness. Baltar is in deep shit. The Chief is freaking out. Oh, crash. Nice special effects. Baltar looks good with his hair shorter. "Old gods die hard." "The old gods are fighting back." Huh. Man, Baltar's ego is huge. Trashing the old gods. Oooool....like Jesus in the market place. Can the crucifiction be far behind? Heh! Yeah, they're soooooo bringing the analogy hardcore.

I know that feeling that Adama has. Not wanting to finish something because then it's over. I mean, even if you re-read something, it's not the same as the first time. (And I wonder if she's stopped treatment because there's no reason.) Only a small number of people left and they're tearing each other apart. Gee, what a surprise. ;D And again, nice parallel to what's happening to the Cylons. Me? I put it down to just everyone packed into those same small ships and driving each other bonky. Heh! Girly-groupy-sex whatever they are. Nice turn of phrase. Tigh asking if the Skin Jobs can just turn feeling off in their heads. Because he wants to know if he can do it himself. Not switches and wires. We're the same. More than you know, Six, more than you know. Look in my eyes. They say when someone is close to death, they don't care as much about rules anymore. "Are you threatening me?" . . . "It's just that I'm just not in the mood any longer to indulge you." OK, that was freaky. All her quiet little death and everyone will be happy. Whoa. Chief's hallucination totaly freaked me out there for a moment. Whoa. All that anger in Chief. "This is not my frakkin' life!" "Please, for the love of Gods, please demote me. Get me off your frakkin' ship!" Got your wish, Chief. Got your wish. And was that wish really to get away from all the pilots that he's afraid he may kill? That was my take on it. The pilots and, you know, Adama.

Does anybody remember whether Baltar's Head-Six ever talks about the Final Five?

another jam-packed episode! i wondered if the chief's outburst wasn't just to get him away from possibly harming pilots, but also away from tori and tigh. maybe he's now envying sam for being away from the rest of them. i wondered if that's part of why he specifically yelled that adama get him off galactica, not just off the flight staff. also, maybe being in all these places that he interacted with callie is just too hard for him right now emotionally, and he wants some physical distance from it. and maybe also to protect the baby from the presences of tori and tigh... during roslin's scenes with and about baltar, i was reminded of the comments on the show when apollo started with the quorum about how roslin really holds onto a grudge. i thought maybe part of why she was doing it was because she's still angry about new caprica and so on. but i agree with Karen - specifically targetting his group with the law, and then having the equivalent of cops beat him, is not exactly a way to avoid martyrdom (which is what she claimed to want to do when she said she wasn't going to keep him in the brig). was it just me, or did the look apollo gave tori seem kind of ... significant somehow? like maybe he thought it was worth filing away that the president's assistant was at the meetings too? more generally, i thought some of roslin's scenes this week were really chilling in their implications, especially about what she thinks of the quorum process now that she's dying. i was hoping this week we'd get to see a couple snippets of what's going on with the cylons post-big-battle. well, maybe next week...

Teaser
Cally's funeral service.
I presume they did something like this for every death, right?
Tory's attending: awkward!
That's a beautiful prayer Chief gave.
Calenda.
Service done at dawn.
Does Tyrol know what Tory did?
Observing Caprica.
Tigh still refers to her as "it."
Wow, Caprica really needs a bra here. Or taping.
Eee, Ellen's face on Caprica.
So Tory's pretending that she didn't kill Cally.
Identity crisis.
Tory's still creepy, bordering on sociopathic.
Has Tory been visiting Baltar.
Tigh transferring his feelings about Ellen onto Tyrol. slightly different situations though.

Part I
Baltar's harem.
Baltar: oversexed, I presume.
So Tory has been visiting Baltar. Yech.
So Tory's into S&M?
About forgiveness. So Baltar really is turning into Rasputin.
Smoke bomb. Is this a raid by the military? It's about time.
Though these guys don't look like the military. So who are they?
Tyrol's flashes back to Cally.
Shuttle craft accident. Yikes, that looks bad. Was this sabotage again?
Now Head!Six is wearing green.
An older woman part of Baltar's harem? Lilly.
So it was a maintenance error?
Tyrol's losing it.
Baltar: Why can't I just be a man?
Religious conflict and persecution. Fantastic.

Part II
Adama and Roslin again. Moving on to the classics. ;D
About the Baltar situation. Can't Adama banish him from the ship or something?
Tigh visiting Caprica again.
About Caprica's guilt.
About Tigh's guilt.
Roslin and Baltar.
People close to death don't care as much about rules and conventional morality. Which explains why the whole fleet is so fucked up. Though Roslin's mainly using it to justify/explain her actions. Pretty good threat.
Adama counseling Tyrol. Oh, OK. This is a fantasy dream sequence. Oh, just that line then.
Calling out Adama for threatening to kill Cally.
About the relationship choices everyone has made.
So, Tryol married Cally because he couldn't have Boomer?
Tyrol flips out.
I will not make an angel out of some one who wasn't an angel.
Whoa, Tyrol. Watch out or Adama's going to lay the smack down.
Tyrol gets reassigned. So the Four are getting split up.
A sports jersey in the bar?

Part III
Quorum meeting.
Lee still being a thorn in Roslin's side.
About religious tolerance and public safety.
Roslin: safety above all.
Baltar is a special case.
About Baltar having power. I don't like her reasoning, but Roslin does sort of have a point.
OK, Tigh watching Caprica sleeping is reeeeeally creepy.
Caprica wants the pain, because that's how she learns. Love, and pain.
Pain and wisdom and guilt.
Learning from guilt. I think that might be the lesson of the episode.

Part IV
Caprica beats up Tigh because... To prove her point or to take revenge.
Paralleling Tigh getting beat up and Baltar getting beat up? Huh?
Lee rescues Baltar yet again.
So Lee is now on Roslin's shit list?
Sometimes the right thing is a luxury and can be dangerous.
The passage Adama reads is particularly apt.
Are Tigh and Caprica actually making out, or is he just imagining that he's making out with Ellen?
Baltar preaches. The adoration of the others is really disturbing.
Checking in with the Demitrius. Is Anders going to do something creepy to Kara?
Tory and Lee are listening to Baltar. Are they going to start allying themselves with him? NO, Lee is pretty disgusted, though Tory looks enraptured.

The pilots and, you know, Adama. Yes! And he had to just keep goading Adama, and do it in public, in order to really have it work. Because Adama was going to do everything he could to try to not get angry. So Chief had to make it an ugly ugly argument. And boy, did he succeed. I mean, I believe that there is truth in what he said, or it wouldn't have resonated the way it did. The core was true, if not all the truth (because he did also love Cally in some ways in addition to the less happy emotions he talked about here). But damn. That was just. Wow. All of the things that have happened up to now, all the history with Boomer.
