Well, more so then it is already, anyway.

More later, but two things, one which made me giggle, and one which was a "whoa":
Giggle: The Doctor with the gas mask on saying to Mace: "Are you my mummy?"
Whoa: The blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of Rose on the view screen in the Tardis, shouting something.

Becca:
Just read your episode thoughts on this one; this in particular cracked me up:
"Okay, no matter how often I watch these things I hear DT in his natural accent with his hair up and his tie down and his shirt kind of unbuttoned and I have a great deal of trouble concentrating on anything other than, um, more unbuttoning."
Word.

Destruction and Mayhem, yadda yadda yadda.
Donna gets a key
Poison gas is the weapon of a coward.
Changing the channels on the tv with the sonic screwdriver, hee.
I don't remember lead student guy being this annoying in the last episode.
Dunkirk?
The end of days. Post apocalyptic. Too bad I already know that the problem is going to be cleared up by the end of the episode.
Lead student guy becomes disillusioned and is quickly dispatched.
Martha talking to her clone.
Clone-feed. Okay, then.
Yep, poison gas- all cleared up. The earth is saved yet again.
I'm good here, back at home, and I'm better for having been away. Is that the Companion motto?
But the TARDIS decides to take Martha along for the ride anyway.

I agree; part one seemed much tighter than part two; in particular, the sort of non-tense, WTF of the Martha Clone stopping the nuclear attack. I wouldn't say that it all could have been fit into one episode, but maybe an episode and a half?

Okay, so the kid was basically a redeemable version of Warren Meers. Without the casual misogyny.
Stuff I liked: the Doctor clearly saw through Martha immediately. That's cool, and also makes sense even without the "you smell like a clone" bit, because someone had to tell the Sontarans what the TARDIS looked like, since it isn't scannable, right? She was the obvious candidate.
Although, technically, anyone at UNIT could have studied up enough to know that it's a big blue police box. But Martha's the only one with first-hand knowledge.
I also liked the self-sacrifice at the end, mostly because I had started thinking of him as Warren Mark II, and thus didn't see it coming at all.

Whoa: The blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of Rose on the view screen in the Tardis, shouting something. Oh, hey, I did miss it! It happened just after the Doctor called the Sontarans. You see the images of the Doctor and the military guy pop up on the Sontaran ship, it cuts to Donna whirling around in the Tardis upon hearing the Doctor's voice, and then you get a quick shot of Rose on the monitor yelling "DOCTOR!" Unfortunately, there's no sound with the signal she uses, and she's gone by the time Donna gets to the screen.

That was the second time we've seen Rose. What will Rose think when she realizes the Doctor has had TWO companions since she' been gone?

I liked that Grandpa was saved, and that Donna saved him.
I liked that the clone didn't save the day and "switch sides" by channeling Martha's goals and values, but how exactly does the clone get it's motivation if not from the host memories being tapped into? I liked that Martha was gentle and sympathetic with her clone.
There was some murkiness for me concerning the need for Donna to go to the Sontaran ship via the Tardis, then escape. Did I doze for a couple minutes? (That's been happening. I need to record while watching in realtime.)
I'm still not warming up much to Donna. I can't figure out why.

I like how Grampa wants Donna out there adventuring and taking care of things with the Doctor. Oooooh! Evil!Clone!Martha. Stay away from your cars, toxic gas. Well, duh! Oh noes - is he going to bring evil!Clone!Martha ontothe TARDIS? Ooopsie. No, they're nabbing the TARDIS.

Yay! Eureka ad! [/tangent] The Doctor knows that's not Martha . . . yep, lying about where Donna is, he knows. Oooh, yay! I love when the Doctor gets all "I am an authorized galactic authority". Heee! Trolls. ;D Nice tactic. Saying this is not an honorable way to fight, that it's cowardly. Cutting from the Sontarans to the cartoon guy? Heee! Clever clever Doctor. Get a message to Donna and I bet you wanted them to move the box? OK tis genius kid guy? Really annoying. And his minions thinks so too. They are soooooo not on board with your master plan, guy. "I'm cleverer than everyone!" OK, that was . . . disturbingly badly said.

Is the Doctor gonna use evil!clone!Martha to send info to the Sontarans? Another reason for the gas and they're firing on the Sontarans when the Doctor said not to. Because that would give them the excuse to really attack? Evil! Not!Martha stopped it? Good question. Why? The Sontarans are not acting like usual for them, so what is their real plan, what do they really want to accomplish? it must have to do with their other war not going well, like the Doctor said. Doctor is not happy with the military plan. "They wouldn't come." "We lost our target practice." Well, duh again! I mean, not too bright of a genius that he didn't get that they were going to turn on him too. OTOH, now he's a crazy-ass genius guy that helped make your gas who is not happy with you now, so that might backfire on the Sontarans. Heh! "Yeah, I don't have a remote." ;D This is a really rather real feeling conversation between them. I mean, more realistic than what usually happens on the show. Him saying what she needs to do and her understanding the very read danger (he's going to kill me) and him knowing she knows and being sorry but he has to ask her to try anyway, because really, the saving of the planet is more important. Heh! "It's Sontaran, you need three fingers!" "You've got three fingers." "Oh, yeah." Eeeep! Hide, Donna!
