"Who the hell is this person?" "And, what is up with Dawn?"

I don't know who/what a "Fray" is . . . so this is just very blah and sort of a . . . incomprehensible detour we've taken here.
I am just not able to sustain interest.

I'm actually rather intrigued for once. After all this meandering, it seems like the comic is actually going somewhere. One of the things I was really hoping for in the comics was for the dangling plot threads at the end of season 7 to get some resolution. Maybe we'll get more explanation about the ScytheAxe and and the Guardians and the Shadowmen. And I like that Fray and BTVS are being tied together. I haven't read Fray, but I read the summaries on this website. I recommend reading it if you want to get a general idea of what's going on.

It's disappointing to have to read "Fray" to get a general idea of what is going on. I have no idea what "Fray" is . . . a comic book series? A TV show that used to be on? Either way, I can't make myself care about it enough to read about it. I continue to read the comics for now. I hate to "not know" what is happening in the "canon" Buffyverse, but the truth is, I barely know, even though I'm reading them.

Fray is a story set in the future of the Buffyverse. 200 years in the future, I think. It's a short comic series. The basic premise is that all things magical have long since died out, including the Slayers, and Fray is the first Slayer to be called in a long time. The ScytheAxe also first appeared in Fray, publication wise, before the end of Buffy. By which I mean, the comic came out before the end of season 7 and first introduced the ScytheAxe (even though the story is set in the future).

Skinless Warren? They somehow managed to still capture his way of moving, his physical mannerisms. Which is kind of eerie. I’ve been totally loving giant!Dawn, so her transformation into centaur!Dawn (Flicka – ha!) and the promise of one more magical something yet to come delighted me. (I also agree with Xander that centaur!Dawn is hot. ) I don’t think I care for Moline’s drawing style quite as much . . . a bit overly cartoony, for my preference. It’s not bad drawing, mind you, just not my preference for this story. New York with demons was an excellent touch (“An angry spirit is attacking the cast of Xanadu. Don’t ask me why.” Ha!) I want to know what Buffy’s “errand” was, though. And I like that they are making sure Kennedy is still Kennedy. Still kind of annoying, personality intact. ;D The missile strike was scary! But mostly? At the end, I was all FRAY! It’s FRAY!! **bounces**

What happens between the time when Buffy and Willow have made all the slayers to the time of Fray, when there has been no slayer at all for many years? What part does the Scythe play? I don't think we'll get all the answers, but I think we'll at least see the start of the path that led from here to there.
