I knew it! I knew who the dark-haired woman is! I guessed it just before I turned the page for the actual reveal. ;D

I'm having a real problem with the Dawn transformation. I'm having an even bigger problem with the talking trees. When did we leave Buffy for the Yellow Brick Road?

Okay, even after reading the comic (including part three) I am not 100% certain. First I thought the madwoman was Dru, and she looked like Dru (I'm not fond of the comic book art...ah well). Then the storyline seemed to say that it's Willow...Dark Willowish, and I'm 99% sure it's Willow after she was warned not to look into the future when rescuing Buffy...
But I'm not 100% sure. Help!

Watching Buffy try to deal with the slang of the future and then complain about it? Perfect touch!! If only she was wearing glasses, she could have done a complete Giles impersonation. But actually, of course, she is adjusting very quickly, adapting and figuring things out with her usual super-speed. Very Buffy. “So, what? Future? Alternate, much cooler, universe?” And we get more confirmation of my ideas re: theme for the season being the push and pull to work together versus be on your own. “Vampires gain strength from each other. Slayers, ultimately, don’t.” Scary that the (vamp? Or something else?) in the future looks like it is, Willow, I think. (That’s the problem with comics – I can’t be as sure as I would be looking at an actor.) Back in our time, I was glad to see that a lot of the team managed to escape. I also enjoyed the Xander-banter™ (“Flames are not bright green. Also, interesting sidebar, flames are not medieval cobra-faced foot soldiers.”) and his wonderfully awkward rescue by Dawn.

Slap my hand! See, I saw a very Dru look too, and her being called a madwoman helped that along. Which makes me wonder, are we supposed to have seen a connection/comparison?
