Lawrence Lessig, who is a proponent of the right of creative expression and changing the copyright laws, was on the Colbert Report in the past week. Lessig talked about what he calls "remixing," which basically sounds like the fic, vids, manips, and other things that fandom is fond of doing. Colbert basically challenged the audience to "remix" the interview and naturally, several viewers have already obliged. Mental Floss did a post about the interview here, including several "remixes" that have been put up on youtube. Watch and enjoy. |
