And we're back to the frame story
I think Meredith is resigning her commission.
HAH! "God gave you a big sister instead of a brain"
Yeah, Flint ain't that braight.
Holy crap, he was actually serious about making that ox an agent?
So what is Linderman rabbiting on about?
"leaves scars. Soon you will own a small dog named Mr. Muggles and be very spacy all the time"
So he fixes her brain.
And hah! So Merdith is responsible for the fire Claire decides do dare death with. And Whosiswhasis recognizes Claire and it seems, has a conscience or something twisted akin to it.
Claire!

One thing I don't like about this season is that they've turned Mohinder (who was a good-hearted and resourceful individual) into not just a monster and a villain, but an idiot, and they're trying to turn Sylar, who they presented as a monster in human form, into a sympathetic character. Brrr. Two of the reasons I'm not warming to this season, though I find it watchable. Generally, I'm enjoying watching it, but I am made uneasy by all the switcheroos. The Sylar retcon is the most . . . problematic. I mean, I do like backstory and seeing other layers to characters and so on so I should really find this right up my ally, and it is interesting. But. Hmmm. I'm not quite feeling it.

interesting that meredith knew flynt might simply kill the eric roberts character, and drew his attention to her to avoid it (in the train car scene).

Angela suspects Artie P too. And you think he can't lie to you, Angela? She looks so happy to have tased him. And she thinks quicker on her feet. Gabriel doing the string link thingie.. And she brings him pie. Literally. aw! he's stuttering! He MUST be a good guy, after all! And he confesses. And she's a good actor. "There are others?""What kind of pie did you bring?" "When you prove you can go against the people you have more in common with than with us normal humans, we'll consider you properly turned towards the dark side" And here's one of her tests. Great. Betray the kinfolk. RETCON RETCON RETCON WHEEP WHEEP WHEEP someone shut that damned Sylar alarm off...*snort* "afraid you were about to burst into song" So Daddy Bennett is all about the entrapment and Elle is all about the brooding sweet lonliness. Doesn't her daddy outrank him? Ah. threats of fatherly rejection. I forgot what a bastard he could be. Okay. It WAS linderman, even with Arthur's help. Okay, so she didnt need to see the future to see that happen.

so since papa petrelli and papa parkman have the same ability (or at least awful close), are they siblings too? sigh... Maybe they're all one big warped family.

I'm not quite feeling it. i love backstories if they make sense. personally, i haven't seen writing that stands up to these retcons, though. i think the two things - backstory and changing the story - are not the same thing, and i think that viewers tend to be intelligent enough to know the difference. i still like the show enough to keep watching it, but i don't expect very much from it any more.

So what, Elle, are you Gabriel's Lady McBlackwidow or something?
That's very tightly targeted.
And Gabriel WANT. Gabriel SMASH!
Cut to the Petrelli house again..
Jean Deaux!!!
"Like I know my own heart" which is about to give you a heart attack.
C'mon, Gabe! Rip his head open!
Okay, so Sylar knows she has a power (I wasn't certain otherwise if he'd met her) and now they are locked up in the genetic engineer's place together with Doctor Mohidiot.
And here I was thinking that Noah was leaping to her rescue because she's a little blonde thing that reminds him of his daughter.
She poisoned the soup!
"I lied. It's not your mother's recipe" is awesome beyond awesome and hillarious in this context.

Elle is just way way way too good at playing her game and pushing buttons. Oooooh, and now we see mommaP pull out her special big gun. Go, Haitian!! "I know you like my own heart." "Am I going to kiss you or kill you?" Aaaaaaand there goes psycho Sylar. Along with Elle's humanity, eh? "I'm sentimental because I don't want to kill our son? And she goes with the classic wifely revenge - something in the soup.

Oh, if only Nathan hadn't come home to get daddy taken to the hospital. If she'd been able to get him smuggled away like she wanted, well . . .
