I am also unreasonably amused by her reaction to his "where are we at" comment, as well as CK's kitchen skillz. ;D "What did I do? I liberated Croatia!"

"The Cakemaker of Kiev would whoop all our asses." So this week's con came with a side order of group therapy. Hi-larious. Hi-larious indeed! "Is this about fear of the Russian mob or fear of intimacy?" "Whoa!" ;D

I've seen 5 minutes of this show and already I love it. I hate that it's on so late though. Tape it a watch another day, maybe? It's what I usually end up doing.

Doctor Who jokes? I'm going to have to watch this one over, just to catch all the flybys.
Not to mention Hardison's Hot Pocket...

My LJ post:
Could I be anymore in love with Hardison? What a great character. I need to call my mama - bwah! Aldis Hodge is owning me. Owning me.
Parker playing stewardess was also a hoot. I loved all the rules and the you're going to die comments. Hee.
I'm still bored with the romance though. I just don't care if Nate remembers things about their relationship. It bores me.
Eliot knocking the guy out, all his little looks - hee. I am at the point now where CK's character from Angel is starting to fade out and now I just see Elliot. And that's what a good actor does. Stars who basically play themselves are always pretty much the same no matter what role they play. But true actors manage to eventually take you to their new role in a way that doesn't diminish the past, but lets you see that they are indeed playing a character a role. And they bring that role alive.
And in this episode, even though his role was small, CK has brought Elliot alive completely for me. Well done.
A good episode. Plane capers are always kind of fun anyway and I enjoyed this one. I thought the woman playing the accountant did a nice job too and that always helps. And truly the scenes at the office with Hardison - bwah!!!!! He got a birthday party! Bwah!!!!!!

I love Christian Kane. That scene where he was riffling through the overhead compartments and that guy was staring at him? Cracked my shit right up. He so owns that character. Not that interested in the romance, but I adore the ensemble and Hardison is too much. Adored how he had everyone convinced he had been at that company all along and what he did in the bored boardroom. ;D What can I say about Parker? She rocks hardcore.

All the fake IDs, hee! -How does everyone know that? -slept with a flight attendant! Hee! Love Hardison snooping on Nate's computer. Parker is hysterical as a flight attendant. You can't skate by on talent and luck for ever. Or can you? Carrot on the cob?

I liked that we finally saw Elliot actually beat some one up. Cause they've alluded to his ability to kick ass before, but they've always opted for the clever cutaway and so forth.

We watched this last episode over again last night, and caught even more little nifty nuances - the caper-movie-style music, for example.
The show is set in contemporary 21st century LA, but the ambiance is more Mission Impossible and/or A-Team (and they are fully aware of the joke, as witness Hardison's "I love it when a plan comes together").
Other nice little bits - the cut from Parker's explosive device counting down to zero to Hardison's microwave and Hot Pocket. This was really Hardison's episode - he got to go out in the field and save the day. But they were all still pissed off at him at the end, and rightly so.
Also, I heard the fake ID names incorrectly - Eliot is a nameless Air Marshall (very Clint Eastwood). Nate is Tom Baker and Sophie is (I missed this one first time around) Sarah Jane Baker. Hee.
Leverage has very rapidly gone from "fun if I have time" to "I'm glad I recorded it so I can watch that bit over".
