11 trailers from NBC: www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/nbc_first_look_check_out_jj_abrams/3158611. Revolution -- all electricity stops. Preview gave me a tiny bit of a "Falling Skies" vibe but I have to say it didn't suck me in. 2. Normal-- sitcom from Ryan Murphy; gay couple and surrogate Can't imagine I'll be interested. 3. Chicago Fire (and I quote): Shirtless Taylor Kinney! Oh, you need a little more than that? Alright, fine! The Vampire Diaries stud and House's Jesse Spencer play two firemen who blame each other for the death of one of their own in this drama from Dick Wolf, which focuses on the Firefighters, Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. And features shirtless Taylor Kinney. Did we mention that already? Also: Carolyn's bf Blaine auditioned but didn't get the part. If it catches on maybe they will call him for a bit part? Preview seemed like MELOdrama with fire. But I like looking for Chicago spots I recognize and bonus points for a Mayor Rahm Emmanuel cameo. 4. Go On: Matthew Perry sitcom -- preview looked very entertaining, actually and it's fairly out of the box-ish. 5. Animal Practice -- sitcom about a vet. Didn't watch the preview. However the lead male is Justin Kirk and I think he is a John Barrowman lookalike. 6. Guys with Kids -- sitcom; didn't watch. 7. Do No Harm: apparently a modern take on Jekyll and Hyde -- a neurosurgeon has a alternate personality. (only a 45 sec preview; couldn't tell if it is more Hulk than Jekyll and Hyde?) 8. Infamous: couldn't really tell anything from the 85 sec preview clip (except that 2 leads are husband and wife African American) but the blurb invoked some good names: Fan of Veronica Mars? Well, then you'll probably want to check out Infamous, which stars Meagan Good as a detective who goes undercover to infiltrate the house she grew up in (as the housekeeper's daughter) to investigate the murder of socialite Vivian Brown, who was her best friend growing up. Also starring in the drama, which hails from Friday Night Lights' Liz Heldens, are Tate Donovan and Victor Garber. 9. Next Caller: definitely not my cup of tea, but may appeal to some: Comedian Dane Cook stars as a foulmouthed satellite radio DJ who is forced to team up with a chipper NPR feminist, played by Collette Wolfe, in this comedy from Weeds' Stephen Falk. The name of their radio show? Booty Calls with Cam Dunne. Arrested Development's Jeffrey Tambor also stars. 10: Save Me: Anne Heche sitcom: Anne Heche returns to TV as Beth, a Midwestern mother, who is convinced she can speak to God after she survives a near-death experience (chocking on a sandwich). While her husband is quick to dismiss the notion that his wife could be a prophet, his mistress is quick to believe it's true in this quirky comedy. 11. 1600 Penn: described as Modern Family meets West Wing but the preview was very underwhelming. All in all I'd have to say the ABC shows looked more interesting to me than these overall.

5 trailers from Fox: www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/fox_first_look_kevin_bacons_following/315905[NBC trailers in previous post. LInk to ABC trailers was left out I'll try to remember to insert here: www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/abc_first_look_check_out_connie/316285]Back to Fox. 1. The Following: apparently there is a lot of critical interest in this but it sounds horrid to me (a cult of serial killers --- no thank you): The Following: From Kevin Williamson, the man who brought you Scream, Dawson's Creek and The Vampire Diaries, comes this thriller starring Kevin Bacon as an ex-FBI agent who's called in once again to find a serial killer, played by James Purefoy, he put behind bars years ago. One of the most high-profile pilots of the season, The Following is terrifying, smart and slick, with Joe (Purefoy) creating a cult of serial killers across the country. 2. The Mob Doctor (just the name turns me off) 3. Mindy Kaling sitcom -- she's described as "Bridget-Jones-ish" No interest from me. 4. Ben and Kate (odd couple siblings) -- sitcom. 5. The Goodwin Games -- huh, that's the only one where I was even going to watch the trailer but all of the Fox trailers come up saying "this video is private." That's dumb.

Trailers for 9 new ABC shows here: 1. Nashville: Connie Britton and Eric Close in town to film!!!! Also -- great shots of local sights of interest -- fun. 2. Last Resort from Shawn Ryan with Andre Braugher. Interesting premise, will see what the critics say and maybe watch the premiere. 3. 666 Park Avenue -- definitely not my cup of tea. 4. Red Widow - didn't care enough to even watch the trailer. 5. Zero Hour -- apocolypse, Nazis, conspiracies, demon children?, Dan Brown-ism, very weird. Probably not my cup of tea. 6. sitcom 7. sitcom 8. sitcom -- sort of "Coneheads meets Suburgatory" or ALF lives next door? 9. Reba McIntyre -- who I admire but probably won't watch. 4 trailers from CBS: www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/cbs_first_look_check_out_sophia_bushs/3165621. Partners: gay guy and straight guy 2. Elementary: the Sherlock Holmes remake with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu 3. Vegas: Set in the 1960s, Vegas focuses on rodeo cowboy turned sheriff Ralph Lamb (Dennis Quaid), who went up against the Las Vegas mob. Based on the real life of Ralph Lamb, the drama also boasts an incredibly talented cast, including Michael Chiklis, Jason O'Mara and Carrie-Ann Moss. (this might be something Jim would be interested in) 4. Made In Jersey. I did not sit thru the trailers as they included commentary by the show runners and that annoyed me -- I just wanted to watch a scene.

My annual What I Will Try This Fall List (new shows in italics) and the ones I am most interested in are in green.
Monday: Bones at 7 pm on Fox -- definitely not "must see" Castle -- 9 pm on ABC Revolution -- 9 pm on NBC
Tuesday: NCIS on CBS at 7 pm Vegas on CBS at 9 pm -- less about me liking it than thinking Jim might as he's a fan of Shawn Ryan and Michael Chiklis. (If I cared about sitcoms I'd try to stick with "Go On" and try "Ben and Kate" but I doubt I'll bother)
Wednesday: Arrow on CW at 7 pm (probably record in bedroom and watch while laundry folding. I don't see as a show that Jim would care much about.) Nashville on ABC at 9 pm Chicago Fire on NBC at 9 pm -- I'll watch an ep just because it is filming in Chicago and Carolyn's bf tried out for a role -- but the reviews are mediocre. This is actually a good night for me for TV watching because Jim is a choir rehearsal so I can watch stuff he doesn't care about.
Thursday: The Last Resort on ABC at 7 pm Big Bang Theory on CBS at 7 pm Person of Interest on NBC at 8 pm Elementary on CBS at 9 pm -- this one is going to have to win me over to stand out enough to become a regular
Friday: Fringe at 8 pm on FOX -- def MUST SEE Blue Bloods at 9 pm on CBS -- Jim likes it, otherwise I wouldn't both
Saturday: Doctor Who, when on, but run is so very limited. sports and catching up on stuff not watched during the week.
Sunday: Once Upon A Time -- 7 pm on ABC -- still fun, definitely different than pretty much anything else on TV and mostly well done with good acting and above average writing. A likeable mix of ongoing characters and storylines with flashbacks and sort of "anthology/guest star stories of the week".
New shows I will not be watching:
666 Park Avenue -- despite Terry O'Quinn and the supernatural element the "Rosemary's Baby" vibe doesn't appeal to me.
Beauty and the Beast -- from Matt Rousch at TV Guide (who is generally a big fan of genre shows): "The lady cop has about as much authority as a bar hostess. The so-called 'beast' is a looker with a blemish. Miscast and misbegotten, this is how you desecrate the memory of an 80's romantic-fantasy cult fave." Yikes!
Pleasantly surprised to see it's "only" about 9-10 hours, so barely over an hour a night.
Of course, there are none of the USA or TNT or AMC shows listed here. They come and go on such odd schedules, of course.

Just caught the pilot episode for Sleepy Hollow on Fox.
Quite good. Remains to be seen where it goes from here (will it get too dark for me?) but I really like the male lead. The young female lead is good, it's just such a mismatch.
Seems to be very Supernatural-ish.
I think it might be repeating on Saturday night?
