I think we've discovered why I never killed any of my coworkers—all the comfort food I eat.

Oh, Whidmore. You are such a prick. "I will be respected." "To kill Benjamin Linus." Oooooooh! Something tells me it's gonna be hard to get her on board with the whole return to the island plan. "Maybe if you ate more comfort food, you wouldn't have to go around shooting people." "Wait. He's on our side now?" "If you ever have the misfortune of running into him. Whatever he tells you, just do the opposite." This? Is why I love Sayid!Damn! Um. And that is why I love him too. 'Cuz he's such a totally kick-ass baddie when he wants to be. Oh Hugo Hugo Hugo. No no no that is exactly what you don't do when someone's been shot. Grab the gun and just give the witnesses a nice look see?! You know what just occurred to me. Sayid did to the opposite of what Ben "said" when he ran in to him. Ben was just using reverse psychology to get Sayid to do what he wanted. I'm not so sure that the "do the opposite of what Ben says" advice makes sense.

Well, yay! Farraday just flat out tells them - this is what's happening, I know all about it, here's my book of info, etc. Richard will fix you, Locke. "Because you told me, John." "No, no I didn't!" "You will." "When am I?" ;D "It's a compass." "What does it do?" "It points North." Heeeeee! ;DWhoa! Tells him he's gonna have to die to get the others back. I want to know more about Richard!! That was such an Airplane! moment.

"And this is what it looked like originally" Sawyer looks.. more than a LITTLE freaked out. Oh hell, Farraday, Desmond may have thought he was lost in time at the time. No, wait, that was earlier. And it could be Keamy in there. Aw, crap. The cute redhead is leaking. That can't be good. And this is, somehow, dealt with in his notes. Desmond DID see somebody. Sorry, Desi, you don't get that lucky. skip the preludes, Farraday, before you get zapped out of there too quickly for being too long-winded. Well, crap. And so much for no paradoxes. In YOUR FACE, Farraday! Oh, that's right. Farraday DID say the rules didn't apply to him. Did we see this scene already from a different angle?when did Daniel say that the rules didn't apply to him?

I bet Daniel's mom is Ms. Hawking, the woman who explained the whole "the universe course corrects" thing to Desmond two seasons ago. Ohhh, that would make so much sense.

Looking over the outstanding questions we have, I'm thinking that the gang being unstuck in time is going to provide the answers to several of them, either with them being a previously unexplained cause or with them being witness to events but from a different perspective.
I'm also thinking that in addition to revisiting Rousseau and Alex, they may also get to see something to do with the Black Rock, which would be cool.

Part I Kate and Aaron in a scene of domestic bliss. Lawyers at the door. Ah, a maternity test. Is this done by Claire's mom? That was my first guess too! But I like the idea that it is somehow a fake out by either the Benry and/or Whidmore camps, possibly with Sun's involvment. On the other hand, they might try to do it by letting Claire's mom know that the baby is really her grandchild and thus have a real foot in the door if it actually needs to be done thru courts and all. But mostly I wonder if it was done to spook Kate and send her running - right into the arms of Sun and/or Benry and/or whoever. Yes! This! Great metaphor! And I like that used such a nice straightforward hint in the opening scene with Dr. Chang. Nice clear-cut self-referencing there! I am soooo hoping we get more Rousseau and/or Alex. Especially CFL! ;D Multiple paradigms, it seems to me!

That made me so happy, seeing them making the flims! I wonder if we're gonna see them making the orientation flicks be all jumpy and scratchy and missing info on purpose. ;D Yes! And never him, of course. Now he has the clean-cut jaw of purpose. Dude!

Looking over the outstanding questions we have, I'm thinking that the gang being unstuck in time is going to provide the answers to several of them, either with them being a previously unexplained cause or with them being witness to events but from a different perspective. **nods again** I think the time jumps have the possibility to be just as informative as flashbacks are. Particularly because of the characters themselves possibly being able to see stuff they wouldn't ordinarily have been able to. **bounces in hopeful excitement**

OK, I'm reading Billie Doux's review of the episode, and she's reminded me that the compass that Richard gave Locke was one of the objects that Richard showed Locke as a child. It was one of the objects Locke didn't choose. Also, The Arrow, which Dr. Chang referenced in the orientation film he was making, was the station the Tailies stayed in and had the glass eye and the bible and such. Too. Much. Information. Not. Enough. Brain Space.
