that was one hot kiss! ;D
i love the angry look adama gives the marine as he jerks his arm away while being taken to the brig. that whole scene was so well acted by everybody in it.

Diana? She's betray.. ouch. ing him. what a scene that was! apparently it's easier for some people to believe they were rejected because their potential partner was a cylon than because the person just didn't want them. indeed! her spidey sense was tingling! no kidding! that was pretty much how i felt throughout the whole episode! ;D

"It'd take a cavity search to find the backbone in that bunch." OMG, sometimes Tigh is just so . . . Tigh! ;D i loved that line! ;D you're always clear on your priorities, lola. ;D thankfully, you were right! indeed! yeah, i'm not sure what's going on there. as many have noted, he obviously quite dislikes zarek. is it "the enemy of my enemy is my friend," or is there some deeper plot of his at work here? i loved that line about how she felt good for the first time in weeks or whatever. so obviously true! so many "ouch" scenes in this episode!

Ah my twisty Gaeta. So damaged and warped and lost lost lost. I want him and his plot stopped, but then not hurt or killed, just contained. So he can start to heal his psyche. that's one of the things i so love about this show - how you can usually understand why people are doing what they're doing - see what their point of view or motivation is - even if you don't agree with (or sometimes are recoiled by) the actions they're doing.

"All we can count on is you and me. Take a breath, Lee. Feels good being alive, doesn't it?" Woo hoo! Violence and mutiny makes Kara ready for hot pilot polititian lovin'? Color me surprised! sooo kara! she and roslyn both seemed to be back in form this week.

Tyrol's got an underground going, already. i thought that was so cool. they were so organized! that was so awesome! as soon as i realized they were going to baltar, i abruptly thought of that.... clever plan. ;D that was too funny. two more great lines. i especially liked the second one. there was so much about atoning in this episode, including baltar's last plea to gaeta... i thought the way they did that scene was great - how you kept cutting back and forth between the foreground noise being her and being the mutineers, roslyn sounding so calm and self-assured and the mutineers sounding so frantic... indeed. i imagine we have yet to begin to see the repercussions of that... so true!

Ahyup. Bill is too ballsy to leave his ship, no matter what's going on. Takes his oaths seriously. and roslin knew it without him saying a word... with guns blazing! guess we'll find out next week. what an episode!

Tyrol, methinks, has been getting ready for this for a while. that would certainly explain why they were so well-organized already. and it seems in keeping with tyrol's character; i wouldn't be surprised if he was expecting a mutiny from the time the four of them were revealed. and it would also explain why he was the one still on the ship that they didn't capture. AND it's really interesting to me that he picked baltar's to go to to organize it. how did he and jean(ne) connect up? or was he already there? so many questions... ;D so funny, and so true! but kara's so much more of an "act now, think later" person than so many of the other characters...

LOLOL! I swear Roslin said "well-hung, sense of self-preservation". Shows where my mind is. *snorfle*

I think all the characters behaved badly in this situation (except perhaps Lee, though he's always been a bit white bread so that's not so surprising). The stage was already set; I don't think there was going to be any good way out of the situation that developed, mutiny or no mutiny.
Gaeta, well, I agree with what he wanted to do but not with what he had to do to get what he wanted. And I don't think he's going to prove a capable leader; he excels as an adviser and doer, not a delegater. I think things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. I'm fairly certain that Gaeta is going to end up dead either by one side or the other.
Also, when the revolution came, I never expected Baltar and his groupies to end up on the same side as Roslin and the others. That was interesting.

i rewatched the episode. several things stuck out more to me upon my second viewing:
* the scenes of domesticity interspersed with the scenes of mutiny and violence, especially the start of the episode, when adama, tigh and roslin are at adama's quarters and kara is eating breakfast while the mutiny plot is beginning; and anders playing pyramid and hera eating breakfast just before they are taken away.
* how you can see two people sneaking up behind anders, blurry in the background, while diana is talking. the first time i think i just attributed it to people moving around in the background; it was only upon the second viewing than i really consciously realized why the blurry figures were there.
* how reluctant baltar seems to be to leave his wives and flock behind. for some reason it struck me more the second time. (and i found it rather funny)
* how the marine in back still calls adama "sir" as he's leading him to the brig. perhaps that is part of why adama later let him go - thinking perhaps the man's allegiances are still swayable to the other side.
* adama's line "and, live or die, it's how you act today that matters" paired with roslin's response (in the very next scene) to baltar's "have you come to pray?" being "no, i have something more tangible in mind."
* gaeta's expression when he first finds out it's baltar on the line - confused, annoyed, curious...
* the selective use of the color red in the episode, made all the more startling because so much of the episode is done in dull colors and shadows.

Gaeta controls all the communications. This would have been Dee's job if she hadn't died, right? no, the other guy at the control panels (sorry, i can't remember his name right now) was the one who took over dee's job. adama explicitly asked him to take dee's former post near the end of 4.11.

Part I "Unidentified contact" on the DRADIS. Oh yeah, the Quorum meets on Colonial One. Now Lee's runs Quorum meetings. Zarek shows up. AWKWARD. Touching base with Anders again. And he's lost his edge on Pyramid. The further away we get from the Colonies, the more they forget the life they had. Seelix and Anders. Ah, it was a ruse to capturing him. Part of the overall plan? And did Seelix mean what she was saying? Hot Dog and Kara. Kara is stigmatized too. Gaeta controls all the communications. This would have been Dee's job if she hadn't died, right? Lee and Zarek. Trying to decide whether to honor thy father or be true to your oath. The two don't always mix. Now Lee's captured. Saved by Kara. And she blows them away. Whoa. What are the revolutionaries going to do with Hera, I wonder?Bringing up Pegasus again. I was very interested in and concerned about that too.
