Wow, lots of explanations. I'm only a semi-serious follower can someone, if so inclined, summarize for me the known Cylon hybrid models? Numbers and various names. Where does Anders fit in? How does he know so much? He's not one of the 12. Is he a cylon. I followed some of his explanation but not all. Is there somewhere with a good summary of what, exactly, we learned last night? This site has pictures and numbers. 7 is missing because he was Daniel, who was actually killed and not boxed a couple of seasons ago if memory serves. Wrong Daniel. Daniel the cylon was killed by Cavil many, many seasons ago. ;D Here is a primer from Salon.com. And, this comes complete with two videos entitled "Catch the Frak Up" each being about 13 minutes long covering events up the the final season and maybe even into it. Anders is one of the final five, who, apparently discovered the secret of regeneration and built a resurrection ship that was placed into orbit around Earth so when the final apocalypse occurred, they were resurrected to live again. Ellen, it seems, designed the other 8 models with input, maybe, from the other five?

Teaser
Ooh! New Intro!
This has all happened before and will happen again.
The Cylons were created by man. They rebelled. Then they vanished. 40 years later, they came back. They evolved. 50,298 humans remain. Hunted by the Cylons. 11 models are known. One was sacrificed.
Replay of Ellen's death scene.
Ellen's resurrection?. Yep.
But she's all alone. Oh, except for a Centurion.
Does she know what just happened? That she's a Cylon and all?
Present Day.
Doc Cottle's doing a surgery on some one. Oh, It's Anders.
It's a good thing that the fleet still has a brain guy.
Oh, Anders is babbling like the Hybrid.
Cavill. But she calls him John.
Ellen was the one in charge of everything?
She remembers everything now.
Clearly these two have a history.
Did Cavill's knowledge of Ellen have something to do with his actions in the Cylon civil war?
Tyrol and Adama inspecting the hull.
Back in sickbay. Lots of wounded.
Anders and Kara.
A wonderful thing has happened. He's remembered everything. Does he know what's up with Kara?

39,566 survivors.
Right, so the other number was how many remained after the initial attacks?
Part I
Sleep is unproductive.
Cavill stopped sleeping about 20 years ago. That could be why he has such a bug up his ass.
Cavills wants justice to how the Centurions were treated.
Boomer.
So Cavill knew who the Final Five were all along. That's why he boxed D'Anna, to maintain power.
Boomer is learning to be a better machine.
What about the swirl, has he taught you that yet? Hee!
Ooh, lunch looks good.
Cylon council. Anders brings everyone up to speed. Tory and Tyrol were a couple. Interesting. They didn't invent resurrection, they reinvented it. The technology came from Kobol.
Dammit Cottle! Why do you have to interrupt.
Colonial One. Roslin and Lee. Roslin trying to figure out what of The Quorum to hang on The Wall.
Roslin's feelings about the Quorum.
Lee proposes reinventing the system. We're not Capricans anymore, we're from Galactica, we're from Colonial One.
Roslin hands over power to Lee.
Sometimes, you're so hell bent on doing the right thing, that you sometimes don't do the smart thing.
Tyrol and Adama inspecting the hull again some more. Holy Crap, that looks bad.
Don't jump her for a while. Why do I get the feeling that Galactica is going to have to jump soon?
Back with Cylons powwow again.
Ah ha! That's why the Cylon's surrendered in the first war.

Part II
Cavill and Ellen again. This must be the present.
Temple of Hopes.
Number 7? What happened to Number 7? And which one is that again?
So there is a one true God.
I'm not sure you can hear x-rays. It's part of the EM spectrum, not physical vibrations.
Free Will. And Love.
Humans. Cylons. Who's to blame?
If you go back far enough, some germ gets blamed for splitting in two.
OMG, it's guy from The Daily Show. LOL. he must be the brain guy.
Anders is going to sacrifice himself (sort of) in order to tell his whole story.
I love Kara's WTF faces. Hee.
This is heart breaking.
4 months ago. Oh, so we haven't caught up to the present yet.
Destruction of the Resurrection Hub.
Wow, that was 4 months ago?
Need all the Final Five to rebuild the Hub.
Ellen's orthodoxy? What about your own, bub?
Cavill threatens digging into Ellen's brain, like Cottle and Brain Guy are going to be digging into Anders brain.

Part III
Cylon powwow again.
If the Cylons could learn love and mercy, then the cycle would be broken.
Cavill killed the Final Five. And implanted false memories. And at different times. Hence Tigh being around for so long.
The 7 was Daniel. Which one is that?
Tigh and Caprica.
2 days ago. So we're almost caught up to the present.
Cavill vs Ellen is a war for Boomer's soul and allegiance. She's watching them like she's watching a tennis match.
I can't wait to see what perfection looks like on the inside.

Part IV
Tyrol et al trying to repair the ship.
Damage you can't see. Damage deeper in that you can only see on an xray. How metaphory.
Well, fuck.
More Cylon tech.
It seems Adama's learned something from the revolution.
Kara apologizes to Anders. Kara: I need to be something.
Adama in his quarters.
Cracks in the wall. Crap.
Back with Ellen.
Ellen's also off to surgery.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Surgery was a success. In one sense of the term.
Boomer shows mercy.
Waiting for the next chapter of their life story. I think some of them are hoping for a musical. Hee!
Anders is brain dead? Oh, no!
Adama gives Tyrol permission to use the Cylon tech.
Wait, that's it? No fair!

As far as info dumps go, it wasn't bad. I do wish there had been more showing and less telling, though.

"While aboard the Cylon baseship, Anders' condition releases a flood of visions and crucial memories." -- SciFi.com Er, that description is close, but no cigar.

Tumbrel? Ellen, they don't have horses. Hell, they don't have French. Ohh, that's what she said.

So Boomer ran off with Ellen. Woohoo! Ya know, I'd love to see "Galactica! The Musical!"And Ishay's a real bitca, isn't she? Drunken Daddy doing what he has too for his ship.. SHIT, it's OVER?!?!? FRELLFRAK! I'd watch that as long as Bear McCreary was doing the composing.

I was finally driven to this (Wikipedia page) last night because I was having trouble counting Cylons and coming out at 12. Julia, there is a BSG wiki but it's too damned slow to load. Ohhh, so we've never actually seen Daniel. And there are actually 13 models total, not 12 like everybody was saying. Unless Ellen's not counting herself as a Cylon. And that would explain why Loeben said "Final Four" once when everyone else was always saying "Final Five."

act 1 "if you'll excuse me, i have some people to kill." "why, john, i think you're blushing." seriously, though, i think the conversation between ellen and cavill (john! ) raises some interesting points - how cavill has chosen to reject some human traits and characteristics, but has decided to pursue others, and how one could see that as hypocritical or understandable, depending on one's point of view. so is ellen really their creator? i guess perhaps i will find out over the course of this episode... i love starbuck's and chief's snickering when anders says tori and chief were madly in love in their past lives. i think adama's comment to chief about an all-human crew nicely encapsulates the not entirely logical thinking going on amongst the humans, seemingly often unconsciously. poor anders. I'm now wondering why Tory and Anders hooked up right before they heard the song that triggered their realization of who they were. On the other hand Tori and Tyrol being together in their past lives does explain part of why Tori airlocked Cally.

It just occurred to me: Athena learns about love, while Boomer learns about mercy.

I feel like there was so much going on in this episode, but I don't have a lot to say at the moment. Maybe later.
