LOVED mama bennett in this episode. just the idea of her as a def leopard fan in her younger days cracked me up endlessly! ;D and she was just so great in this - totally illustrating her point that she knows more, and can do more, than either claire or noah give her credit for. you'd think that the team that was sent out to get underwater guy (alex, was that his name?) would know his ability is, you know, breathing underwater. that part just made no sense to me. and they were such disposable characters that (like most of the people in the government group) the writers didn't even bother giving them names. i wish the writers would decide what they want to do with sylar or finally kill him off for good. he's evil! no, he's good! no, he's evi! but, no!--he's only evil because he saw his dad kill his mom, and if not for that, he'd really actually be good! i also really liked mama petrelli in this episode, especially how unsurprised she was, and stated she was, at how nathan's "brilliant" plan has turned out not to be so brilliant - or so easy to control - as he thought it would be. if only he had thought about asking people older than him for their opinions, perhaps all of this never would have happened. but then, he doesn't seem to be thinking things through much, to wit: "this hasn't turned out exactly the way i wanted to. i'm aware of that." nathan's naivete is breathtaking to me. "because i'm the only one who really cares if you're alive or not, pete" not to mention his egomania! and then he couldn't even say he loved peter back. what a jerk. alas, i thought the whole "matt with a bomb" thing at the end of this episode was so, so stupid. i hate heavy-handed storylines, and the whole Government Guy storyline is so incredibly heavy-handed you'd think it would leave marks on the screen. i want to call up tim kring and say, "tell us how you REALLY feel, because it's not obvious!" Do you get the feeling that if Mama Bennett and Mama Petrelli joined forces, they could not only solve the current problems plaguing their children in about two days, but then find a good psychiatrist for Nathan, create a new and better Company, kill Sylar, and actually get Clare off to college for more than five minutes?
Interesting how the mamas rock but the daddies, except for Noah (who has protected Clare very well for most of her life), are either ineffectual or EEBIL? Well, okay, Sulu-er-HiroDad wasn't too bad, but Elle's dad, Sylar's dads, Papa Petrelli?
Yes, the EEBIL GOVERNMENT storyline is rather heavy-handed. At least there's only one timeline, so far.
GAIL Oh, oh, oh!! New spin-off show!! MommaP and MommaB, ridin' around the country on motorcycles, kickin' ass and takin' names. One is a mutant future-dreaming corporate power, one is a dog-lovin' rocker. Together, they fight crime!

Part III Alex with his shirt off. Mmm...wouldn't say no to that. Divorce and relationship woes. Daddy Bennett knows all the heroes vulnerabilities. More flashbacks. Nice use of color there.

Part IV
Nathan tries to justify himself to Mama Petrelli.
Nice imagery with Claire and Alex kissing underwater. I guess he can produce O2 in addition to being able to breathe himself. Or something.
Terrorists again.
Ugh, Puppet Man again. And he wants help from Claire. She might be more willing to help if you stop calling her Barbie. And also if you stop doing that creepy puppet thing.
