So Sonny Boy was the creepy stalker. "After I tried to kiss you" I think it would have been funnier if he knew before. Dollhouse in Manhattan. Huh. Gambling is all about ups and downs. I figured he was a gambler, what with the percentages talk. This is what Margaret wanted. Adoration and affection and weeping into her bosom. And Victor has found something nasty. So maybe this is why Sonny boy didn't want him sold. 4 Million dollar pet. Oh, god! got him in the gut with a bale hook!!!! And Boyd is on top of things both outside the house and inside. "So Topher can make friends" if he puts them together with his own two hands. DeWitt is aware, and indulgent. "Only happens once a year" and "Lonliness leads to nothing good" and "those who most need to reach out are sometimes the least capable" Wow. Need to rewatch that bit. Letter convicting Hubby in her own handwriting! Brilliant! But Hubby was dumb as a stick regarding horses...Sonny boy. Knew it. He was the one using the masking agent. and she's gonna git it again!!!!!! Unless what? Did anyone besides me see Topher's implant into Sierra as an echo of Warren's Build-a-Girl project? Actually, I didn't. Topher isn't coming across as a Warren-level sociopath, to me. For a change, I actually found Sierra's "mission" sweet. Topher's a lonely guy, who needs someone to talk to and play with, and there wasn't any evidence it went further than that. I came away feeling a bit sorry for him.

Did anyone besides me see Topher's implant into Sierra as an echo of Warren's Build-a-Girl project? I saw it a Build-a-Twin project (even if this year's version was a girl twin). It felt like when SMG played Faith in Buffy - Not just the common interests, the mannerisms, everything about NerdSierra was Topher. Who else would understand him? Who else would play with him? leftylady Fascinating thought. Do you think he used his OWN brain map? I mean, the other plot line was about putting Adelle's friend in Echo's body, makes you think that all the employees of the Dollhouse might have had themselves mapped for similar purposes. Do we read anything into (or out of) the fact that he mapped his best friend (himself?) into a female body, rather than, say Victor. =================== Unrelated -- back in the episode where Echo and the black student broke into the Rossum labs and the black guy was "signed on" at the end of the ep. I was hoping that he might become a regular doll -- another male in addition to Victor.

It just keeps getting darker and more despairing.
Our hero, such as he is, has fallen. He's found a Dollhouse client, has he? Oh, dear.
Are we supposed to like Topher, or at least be sympathetic to him? Because he gives me the wiggins. He's the worst of Andrew and Warren, in one pathetic package. Not so much of Warren the rapist-killer, fortunately, at least, not yet, but still, very very sad.
The sole touch of humanity in this was Adelle mourning her lost friend, and holding Echo's hand at the end.
Pretty horses, though. I liked the pretty horses.

Maybe the end result is "It's Always Topher". ;D leftylady

Well, unless Topher had a friend with megabucks who went through the process before dying... It was a build-a-twin. Hell, maybe he HAD a twin. And can I say it was nice to see the not super-skinny chick getting the hot guy. Please, more of this! Oooh, and I looked on imdb and found a tasty tidbit. Alpha will be in next week's episode... played by one of my favorite Big Damn Heroes, Alan Tudyk.

Although, I suppose it is possible that this is a friend of his who perhaps helped him create the process, and thus was recorded at some point?
