Why was it necessary to kill Jacob when we were just getting to know him?
Jacob is cute!
All because Ben's a nasty, resentful, treacherous little jerk.
And if Locke is really dead, who is that running around looking like him? The island? Jacob's original pal (anyone know who he was?)
I soooo don't understand what's going on.
Poor Juliet deserved a better exit.
G. Unless I'm missing something, that wasn't necessarily an exit for Juliet. Or if it was, that means it was also an exit for Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Miles, Jin, and Hurley, what with her detonating a nuclear explosive and all.

2007. The Others, still marching two by two. Nice pan across the horizon. We're at the FOUR TOED FOOT!!! JACOB LIVES IN THE FOOT?!?!?! Is that like The Old Woman Who Lived In The Shoe? **snerk** He's the Old Man Who Lived In The Foot. It's a lack of candy that causes so much trouble in this world. **nods solemnly** They're really scattered all over the possible time spectrum. Which makes me wonder about their purpose. Are they at important times in the individual person's life, or important times from what Jacob needs? It's funny because it's true! It's not Kate, for me. It's the way all motivations come down to romance. Surely there are some other possible issues they could all be thinking about? **snicker**

Vincent must survive!
How does the apparent destruction of Dharmaville jive with Ben betraying and gassing everyone in the original past?
And who are Ricardus' Groupies, led by Ilana? What did Richard answer in latin?
Thoroughly confused now.

"When you're a grownup you'll understand" no, not really. Poor confused James.. "I got a right to know why you changed your mind" God I hate her parents so much now. "Would stay with yo forever if I let you" "If I never meet you, then I never have to lose you" Well, you're losing him NOW, you silly bitch! Woohoo! Gauss reedings off the chart! Radzinzki, shouldn't you be tending to your exploding swan station? He's just such a nutty little guy, in every way. If only they knew when they had it good, they could have appreciated those early days, eh? Or, you know, something weirder.

Hurley, undergoing the blues brothers treatment. Fruit rollup instead of a condom. Hurley trying to stay arrested. Jacob waiting in the cab. "Waiting for you, Hugo" "I'm cursed" and Jacob can make it stop.. but he just makes it seem on the good side. But he reassures hugo that he's not crazy, that he's actually seeing ghosts. Touches him. Was it Charlie's guitar in a new case? That is my hope. When Nadia died? Yep.

Your post combines my three fave guys. ;D Actually, I meant Jacob; he's the one who spoke to Hurley in the taxi. But Richard is more than cute - mysterious and sexy with all that arcane knowledge and bedroom eyes. G.

Yola, that Latin from the passphrase is Ille qui nos omnes servabit.. translation with full conjugation and declensions to follow, but to start it, "that which we all serve(funky ending)"
"That which will save us all"

G.The way I'm seeing it is this: Juliet (who, as Matthew pointed out to me, was not touched by Jacob, perhaps making her destiny-free) managed to do what Jack and Daniel hoped to—she hit the reset button. So no Swan station, no hatch, no crash, and perhaps no Others to bring Juliet to the Island in the first place.

I'm wondering if Jacob somehow set this up, and wants to be killed; maybe it will free him? Or maybe he can't be killed? I don't think he'll be killed if he doesn't want to be.
Gunfight at the Dharma Corral!
G. Very parallely between what was happening in each time zone. Also? Hee!

Was a loophole mentioned at the beginning, when Jacob said that his friend/wacky neighbor wanted to kill him? Which would mean that Faux-Locke is the wacky neighbor?

G. It was indeed. So I'm thinking you're right: Not!Locke was the gentleman Jacob interacted with in the beginning.

Locke is Jacob??
Holy HathorCow.
G.I have this odd feeling they're going for some kind of eternal good/evil, God/Devil, two sides of the Island fighting it out forever, etc. kind of thing.

fucking bravo, Team Jack. and back to the future. Hi, Ilana. "That which all are in service of"? LOCKE! Was not expecting that. Jacob is in there. We've been seeing him for a while. no, there's Jacob. So who's Locke? Widmore? Jacob's "friend" from the beginning? Who wanted to kill him? And Ben is all full of "Eli, eli, lemi sabacthani" and is gonna bitch for a bit. "Why him?" And Jacob acts like god avatars are supposed to act. turns it around on him. And he stabs him. "They're coming" and he tosses him into the fire.. Back to where our hearts were ripped out... just let him jump, Kate. SHIT@@@@@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHHY DO THIS TO US?!?!!? FUCK FUCK FUCK Oh, they showed us her so she could set off the nuke, not so the could just gratuitously show her dying before our eyes. And we end the season on a reversed note... So, do we think the nuke really is gonna create a new non-crash future? Or do we think that it's gonna send them all back to the crash again?
