This one was funny. And dark. And sad. Angel's little list of number one priorities is great. Confusion central. But too much with the chasing money and not enough with the listening (did I mention rusty with the lingo?) and very near disaster. ... I love that puzzle Fred did. Shiny and full of symbols and looking nicely complicated.
The story with Angel and the guy played by the dad off Supernatural (I'm sure his character had a name here, but I kept on going 'that guy!' and, well). That one was also about being too focused on money. If he'd gone to Angel from the start he would have found him in Champion mode and wouldn't have *needed* money. But he figured it would cost money, and lost his job and risked his life and ended up in a mess.
So the bit with Wes and Gunn waiting to protect that woman who turned out to have poisoned her zombie stalker boyfriend... that didn't seem to be so very much about money. Was about excessive focus though. And, also, funny... in an incredibly creepy way.
Cordelia taking the baby to go do hero stuff... arrgh arrrgh arrgh?
And how much Angel's focus got messed up by the money stuff. Trying to provide, failed to protect.
Also? Right after Cordelia did the whole major sacrifice for the visions thing? He decides the visions aren't the main important thing. Bad Angel no biscuit.
