Scherryzade is writing an accumulating story told by replacements coming in to the Atlantis expedition, called Newcomers (link goes to tags, which are arranged newest first; the story is fragmented, but I'd recommend reading in order because characters are introduced in earlier stories and then get their own spotlights). It's PG, gen, the canon characters are totally in-character and the originals belong at Atlantis. Julia, it will be going on for quite a while.

Situation Normal and Captain Rodriguez has a way of dealing with personell problems. Julia, and I seem to have put the original post on this subject in the wrong thread. AR27 brings the Rodrigues chapters to an end; there will, it seems, be a gap until more is written. Julia, darn.

In State of Mind Scherryzade gives a glimpse of why Lorne is loyal to Collins- the kind of story you'd expect it to be, from an early SG-1 setting. R for violence, alone; the Jaffa are not kind. Julia, this is a wonderfully in-canon piece.

NWHepcat has an all-SPN, Castiel centric WIP started; I'm unlikely to be following it, but here's the link to the first chapter (of two, so far): nwhepcat.livejournal.com/1071385.htmlJulia, glad to be of this small service.

Newcomers Aftermath and Rodrigues is getting antsy waiting for her team to be assigned offworld, but the situation isn't really quite normal, perhaps? Julia, again, great series, and glad to see it updated!

Aftermath, Dawn in the Pegasus Gallaxy, and Collins is smoking what there is to smoke. Julia, as is the way of his kind...

Bead's Checkmateverse (various ratings, check each story) is a sort of diametric opposite to the realistic gen of Newcomers: it's explicitly McShep, for the smallest thing, but is as cracky an AU as one could get outside the Stargate oevre, where being transformed into a cat is pretty mild stuff. Today, we have a G snippet Crazycat part 2 where cat John and Ronon have a bit of a dust-up. Julia, most of it is to laugh, some of the stories are, however, angsty emotional healing stuff

Newcomers, Midday and Rodriguez team is on a routine off-world mission to explore ancient tech. Julia, which, for those of us who followed the general tenor of SG-1 and SGA, is never as easy as it looks.

Newcomers: there is no "I" in team, and there are no pronouns in Afternoon Tea; the author's notes at the end explain why but the stylistic choice makes this an immediate and vigorous read, as Rodriguez' team have a bit of bother. Julia, great piece of action writing

Janel Ettesdotter Medicat, the suspicious refugee from "The City is an Island" is asked to join the Athosans, and has her private thoughts. Julia, these stories are such a comfort when I've nothing towatch at 9pm Friday... Stray Janel knows bureaucrats, but Richard Woolsey is just beginning to know Janel. Julia, Woolsey has learned a lot since we first met him, hasn't he?

Have I been recommending Qui Habitat? I can't remember; it's been a while since Dominika Marzione (aka lj user Miss Porcupine) has updated that 'verse, and I may well have forgotten. This long group of stories is AU from the point that Earth fights the Ori; in this 'verse, they lose, and a rag-tag group of survivors comes to the Pegasus Galaxy to start a last stand. Almost anything I say about the AU will spoil something; let me just say that most of the characters and the focus on Little Tripoli are familiar from her more canon-compliant military gen stories, and that, as in those stories, the writing is brisk, vivid, and very much focussed on the ways the Stargate Universe would have developed under PTB that knew anything at all of military life. If, by any chance, you've been following the story, today Chapter 17 of book 2 was posted. Julia, this is, I guess M for Mature for Military or R for forced Retreat.

Newcomers: Tension, anxiety, and people ignoring the obvious in Soldier; Lorne's awake, and yet not out of danger. Julia, something's about to blow, again.
