Ooooooh, backstory! Yays!
Ha! Nice “kill you with her brain” in-joke.
So, Caroline conned her way to get info, but didn’t really know about the Dollhouse? Or didn’t know the full extent of it?
Panicking Topher is panicking. Also? Funny! “Can we get back to the part where the chairless imprinting tech that
I designed, which
you handed over to Harding in order to get this swank office back, how that leads to the
apocalypse? ‘Cause, I thought that was kind of an interesting detail!” Love how he phrases things, like “the original self comes home to find a house party going on inside your head”.
“Guess we’ve both died since then.”
And now we get to see how
Summer G Bennett became part of the mix!
“She seems so innocent, doesn’t she? . . . She wasn’t.” Yes! Somehow I knew there was more to the Caroline story! I mean, no one else’s story is straightforward and exactly what it seems on the surface, why should hers be?
“Are you saying she’s evil?”
“Worse. An idealist.” Ha!!
“Echo went to the Attic for the cause! Whatever that does to the brain is worse that getting a roommate.” Heeee! See? Excellent turn of phrase.
Oh, they grabbed Bennett! Oh, damn, and Madeline!Mellie!November is there.
That’s not good. But I’m not really surprised – I was always surprised they actually let anyone go at all, frankly.
“You used the company jet to abduct the programmer of a rival house.”
“I’m certain I’ll be kicking myself come holiday bonus time.”
“I’m sure you’ll be dead by then.”
And
“You let them roam. They roam like . . . free range chickens. We keep ours more like veal.”
Dude. Bennett is sooooooo much more creepy/scary than anyone at this Dollhouse. Seriously!
Oh, Topher. So awkward. Soooooo awkward.
Battleplans! Lockdown mode! They really are moving, taking action.
And Topher hooks Bennett by presenting her with a challenge, with work.
Nice parallel use of “ready for your treatment” and “get in the chair”. How sad to see Bennett all “I want to be you/like you”. (So, am I right on the timing here. Did Caroline see Bennett’s file and
then seek her out for a “friendship”? Or was it the reverse order – she already knew here and then discovered the file and so on?)
Doc Saunders! Yay!!
Ah! That’s what Paul lost. His feelings for Echo. “The freshest, brightest paths. Those were the ones I needed.”
“That troublesome one-armed creature. Where is she?”
Adelle also always wins the “turn of phrase” contest.
Ah, yes, I was right on the timing. But what was Caroline’s history with Adelle and the Dollhouse before she got in to the building via the guard. That they thought was done and that she’d “dropped off the radar”? Just the previous stuff we’d seen with the lab animals and her boyfriend getting shot, or was there more?
Oooooh, Bennett knows the truth . . . and she wants to help? Interesting! And very odd, really.
I like the way they keep exploring Echo as her own person and her worries about what happens when Caroline is added back to the mix.
“If you somehow forget the way back here, that’s OK too.” And then eeeeeeep!! Dominic escaped from the attic! Clyde’s dead! Rossum’s on to you! They’re coming! Eeeeep!!
“Ok, am I the only one thinking we’re getting, maybe, a little too much of our intel from The Matrix? Or possibly Tron, given the outfits?”
Off to Tuscon! And no leaving helpless creatures behind!
Flashback to Caroline and Bennett doing the same thing before, planning a big boom. Oh, and there were people! Another version of the Attic? Or trying out new techniques and so on? Is this where Bennett was hurt and left behind by Caroline, or was that another event?
Paul is worried about Echo’s ruthlessness? Hmmmmm.
Damn. They recreated Mellie.
“What a lovely late night surprise.”
“Are you surprised? He doesn’t look surprised.”
“He’s paid not to look surprised.”
Taking over and “liquidating” the “inventory”? Yeah, I don’t think so!
“I guess we can agree this carpet’s done for.”
Boyd shot too? No!
Ah, yes this is when Bennett was injured and left. But it wasn’t really like she remembered/presented, was it? Caroline felt she’d be safer not associated with her, tell them she was working late and caught by the bomb. The “I stay, we both get nabbed” was actually followed by “I’m going to make sure it’s just me”. Interesting! Well, it’s not like we hadn’t been realizing that Bennett had “issues”, so to speak, even before her injury and so on.
“You resurrect Caroline Ferrell long enough for me to save my friends and I’ll let you do anything you want to her. I will hold the bitch down.” Oooooooooo!
The Rossum board members don’t restrict themselves to just one body. Well, of course!
And Topher is busy turning all the Dolls back into their original people so they can be let loose.
“Give me a hand?”
“I’ll give you both.”
Their love is so psychopathic!
Dude! Through and through bullet wound is still subject to infection. Listen to the woman!
Kiss, kiss, oww, oww, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.
“More of this if we save the world” and “you know, I had a crush on you even when I thought you were a dude”. Oh, Topher.
HOLY CRAP!!!! Holy crap!!! Saunders . . . just blew Bennett away . . . that . . . . what . . . Whoa!!
“You have much to answer for, young woman. You forced me to come to Arizona. I loathe Arizona.” Ha! Also? When did Adelle and Caroline make their plan to take down Rossum?
Oh! This is when Caroline met the guy – the head of the company that Adelle and others haven’t seen.
Alarms and what not, lights out, blood on the screens. This is looking a bit “start of the end of the world-ish”, isn’t it?
“You have a remarkable brain. I think it should stay in your head.”
Breached! “That’s one word for it.” Run! Run! Upload Caroline! “You’re our general. We can’t lose you.”
“Stay back! I’ve imprinted myself with many useful skills! You don’t even want to know!” Oy.
Boyd, in with the classic Joss neck snap!
Nice! They did name it Rossum because of the play and the robots and all!
OMG, Boyd again?! Boyd!!? Boyd is the other guy?! OMG OMG OMG!!
