"Joan Hart" And here we find out what Kate did. "Would you believe me if I said I was innocent?" Note she does not say that she was. "Aaron" the name bled over. <==========Whoosh! The walking wounded comes back into the house. And Kate goes.. where? Dogen and Lennon having a confab? oh, talking near Jack. Lennon looks.. really weirded out. "Why kill Sayid?" with sinister music. "Claimed" I wanna hear a full verbiage translation.
So now he's Son of Smokey? "Happened to your sister" CLAIRE? Jin, off by a stream, and captured by their former minders. "One of Them" Rousseau just left crap EVERyWHERE. Note that you, Aldo, and Justin, are NOT "one of them" CAVE CLAIRE! Yes!Claimed. Like a chess piece?

So, I got thinking about how Sayid was 'claimed', made me think of chess which reminded me of the board game backgammon, which Locke played with Walt in the first season. Googling 'backgammon' I found this site - look at the numbers on the doubling cubes (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64).....coincidence of the similarity to the LOST numbers? "The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 are very important to Lost, but we don't know exactly how or why." - from Lost's actor's burning questions. Is it all some kind of Predator type game?

Sigh. Again, far more questions than answers. They're just never going to wrap up even half the peculiarities/logic gaps/WTFs of the show, are they?!
And I'm already tired of the Sideway AU flashes. I just don't care that much about the Losties who were never Lost.
Why don't they just explain WHO is claiming Sayid and why? Is this related to the pregnant Otherladies getting infected with something, or Rousseau's husband getting infected with something and going homicidal? And how does getting shot make one vulnerable to being claimed by Smokey or infected by something else.
And Feral!Dark!Claire comes in at the end.
But no Vincent appearance .

Gail Alas, no Vincent. Maybe being murdered makes someone vulnerable to being claimed/infected.

I heard mention of another black/white game to join the symbolic chess and backgammon: Reversi. Not familiar with this but apparently the game pieces are claimed and flipped black to white or vice versa until a player gains the entire board. Sounds right to me. Now the question is- is Sayid being flipped to black or white?

Gail I'm never that excited about kate-centric episodes but there were some great Sawyer moments and Jack / Sayid interchanges. The comparisons (and contrasts) to previous timeline are interesting to dig out. I hope to see Vincent soon too. He is the hero who will save the day.. ;D Must find Vincent. leftylady

Teaser
Aftermath of Sayid's resurrection.
Alternate Verse: Kate's on the run again. A run that turned into a traffic jam. How anticlimatic.
OK, this Claire is definitely pregnant.
Back at the Temple.
Silly Jack. Still wanting answers to questions.
So Sawyer's completely regressed back to every man for himself mode.

Part I
Back at the Temple. It's organized chaos and nobody has a better idea about what to other than waving guns around.
Kate can be very convincing when she wants to be. So she must not usually want to be convincing then.
Back in LA
Hey, it's Rack.
Claire's baby bag. Tugging at Kate's heart strings.
Back at the Temple.
Sayid's all dressed up for torture. Sexy torture.
Or he's about to get the life suck out of him a la Princess Bride.
Sayid passed the test. Oh goody! Or he didn't pass the test. WTF?!

Part II
Back in LA.
Kate, ever the criminal with the heart of gold, brings un-strands Claire.
Back on the island.
Another of Rousseau's trap.
Bitter Other is bitter.
Dude! You knock them out and they'll never have a chance to over share with you!
Back in the Temple.
Dude, total Empire Strikes Back moment there.
Did I say something funny? I doubt it; you don't really have a sense of humor. Ha!
Diagnosis through torture.
Wow, it took Asian Guy no time at all to hone in Jack's savior complex and use it to their advantage.
And they'd better have a damn reason for their Answer No Questions policy when all this is over.

Part III
Back at the Temple.
Sayid as a zombie. Hee. A sexy zombie.
Sayid can make even the dullest lines entertaining.
I don't care who fixed me; I only care about who I trust.
Who do you care about, Kate? Ooh!
Back in LA Claire and Kate, Thelma and Louise style.
Oh no, Claire's adoption plan fell through!!
And she goes into labor right then and there? Oh no, it's those whatchamicallits that she had the day after the crash.
Back on the island. The Barracks.
Ah, Sawyer's there. That makes sense.
That was again...anticlimactic.
What is it about Kate episodes that they always feel like they're missing something.

Part IV Kate taking Claire to the hospital. So she's thrown her run OMGETHANEWW!!!! Dr. Goodspeed. Kate and Sawyer have a heart to heart. I think some of us are meant to be alone. Back in the temple. Jack meets a fellow baseball fan. Purpose of the translator is to remain separate from the people he's leading. Makes it easier when they don't like the decisions he makes for them. Yeah, that's the problem with hierarchical social structures. Togan. Brought here by...Jacob? Yay, Jack's doctor smarts reemerge! He refuses to administer treatment without knowing what it is! I don't trust myself; how am I supposed to trust you? Ah ha! Taking the pill himself called Trogan's bluff. The first clever thing he's done in a long time. He was trying to kill Sayid. Because Sayid came back "wrong?"

Coda
"Joan Hart."
And Kate still hasn't taken off yet. Wow.
Hey, I just realized that Kate has the same soft spot for mothers and babies that Ben has.
So the name Aaron just popped into Claire's head. Hmm.
Back at the Barracks.
Back in the Temple.
Yay! Trogen's actually going to answer a question!!!!!!!!! Let's make it a national holiday!!! Time for the ticker tape parade!!!!
Sayid's been "cleaned." That sounds dirty.
Forces of darkness taking over until there's nothing left. So that's what happened to Ben.
Claire was "cleaned" too? Oh, fuck.
Meanwhile,
"We can't; he's one of them." Hmm.
Rescued by..Claire? WTF??

Is that why both had a penchant for taking someone else's baby?
