Part I
Back in LA
Lock still working in a cubicle. The same cubicle?
Ah, Locke played hooky at the conference to do the walkabout? Or something else? Huh?
And he gets fired just like that. Goodbye self confidence.
Back on the island
I'm sorry I hit you in the throat and dragged you off the beach, but I had to do something. If I had a nickel for every time some one said that to me...
NotLocke wants Richard to go with him back "home." Awww, is it love?
NotLocke chose Locke's body because it would give him access to Jacob. Because Locke was "a candidate."
Ah ha! Richard doesn't know any more about candidates that we do. Or anything else about Jacobs plans or whatever.
NotLocke turns on the manipulation big time. But why?
Whoa little bleeding boy that only NotLocke can see? What's that about?
I'll be seeing you, Richard, sooner than you think. WTF was that about?
Back in The Foot.
Illana confronts Ben.
Ben, you weasel. I don't think you could tell the whole truth even if you tried.
NotLocke is recruiting. OK then.
Recruiting Sawyer is next on the agenda. That should go well.

Part II
This wasn't your house, you just lived here for a while.
Sawyer honed in on NotLocke not being Locke pretty quickly.
Locke was scared, even when he was pretending he wasn't.
NotLocke can answer the most important question in the world. I already know the answer. It's 42.
Why are you on this island? OK seriously, of the long list of questions I have about this show, that doesn't even break the top 10.
Back in LA.
Locke's got the worst luck ever. Oh hey, maybe he's got Hurley's bad luck.
Hurley!! Oh yeah, that's Hurley's car.
Back on the island.
sand crab on the neck is a nice touch.
Everyone's headed to The Temple. It's a party!
Dude, Jin and Sun are totally going to miss each other wandering through the jungle like that. I hope that Jin ends up doubling back and their reunion isn't prolonged any more than it already has been.
Locke and Sawyer.
Sawyer can see the kid too. What the hell does that mean?
Whatever his powers, NotLocke is clearly not omnipotent nor omniscient.
You know the rules; you can't kill him.
Don't tell me what I can't do. Hey! You have his body; you can't have his lines too!

Part III
Sawyer runs into Richard.
Wow, Richard is completely lost his composure.
Yeah, NotLocke's got the answers. Or so he says.
Maybe that's the duality we're looking at here. Jacob has questions. NotLocke has answers.
You ever catch up with the kid? What kid. Right.
Back in LA. At the TempAgency
The what kind of animal question, heh.
Hey, it's that girl!
Rose!
Rose still has cancer in this reality.
Parallel to Locke's and Rose's conversation in the airport. Which I guess didn't happen in this reality.
Back on the island.
Sawyer references Of Mice and Men.
Sawyer wants to see if he can put a bullet in NotLocke's head Yes, let's see what happens!
NotLocke is trapped. Dude, he's just spouting whatever bullshit will his audience will be receptive to. Much like Drogen and Ben do.

Part IV
Carrying Locke back to the grave yard.
NotLocke can't change his face "anymore." So all the ghosts we saw before were actually NotLocke? Or some were NotLocke and Some were Jacob?
Oh, then I bet that the kid they saw was actually Jacob then.
Grass has grown up over the graves. Passage of time.
Eulogy for Locke...and
This is the weirdest damn funeral I've ever been to. I'll bet that's saying a lot.
Back in LA.
Calling Jack for that consult.
Locke's existential crisis. No such thing as miracles.
Back on the island.
Climbing down the Cliffs of Insanity.
Youch!!
A secret hide away.
Scales. Black and White.
Inside joke. Yeah.
OMG, it's Jacob's list!

Coda
Locke got a job teaching. Ah, subbing.
Ben the uberdork! Hi-larious.
Teaching European history.
Back on the island.
More of Jacob's list.
23 Jack 8 Hurley 16 Sayid 42 Jin and/or Sun 4 Locke 15 Sawyer
Jacob had a thing for numbers. So is that the reason then?
Choices you thought you made were never really choices at all. Pushing you too the island. Candidates for taking over the job of protecting the island.
Do nothing and see how everything plays out. Accept the job, become Jacob, and protect the island from...nothing. (or everything.) Just go, leave the island, and never look back.
I think what makes the alternate verse different ultimately is the lack of Jacob, and Jacob's minions exerting their subtle influence.
Don't do it, Sawyer! It's a trap! He's just using you to get off the island!

How refreshing to see AU Locke living a happy life, despite being wheelchair-bound. Of course, if he's getting along with his father, then who caused him to lose the use of his legs?
Loved Benry the History Teacher!
Why doesn't Sawyer care even for Kate anymore? (I don't care for Kate, but I thought he did)
I didn't see Kate's name in the cave - wonder if she'll end up making some significant choice between a "claimed" Sawyer and Jack...Would the conflict between Smokey and Jacob represent Faith and Reason, Evil and Good, or both?
No idea how the writers will resolve even a quarter of all the hanging plot threads. At least tonight's ep was better than last week.
How was Claire "claimed" - I don't remember her being shot or injured, just the Christian-figure leading her away.
Still no Vincent sighting. And not enough of Richard, who has much better sense than Sawyer, though that's not surprising.
Gail Claire was in the house when it got firebombed or whatever. She seemed uncannily alive and fine after that, but later that night is when she took off with Christian.
