I might have said this before, but it seems to me significant that River Song is from the 51st century. She even had a squareness gun, as well as having been to the end of the universe with the Doctor. Just like Captain Jack. Is there a connection between the two?
Perhaps I'm reaching, but this is the second visit to the 51st century, if I'm remembering correctly, and the latest in numerous references to it.

Perhaps I'm reaching, but this is the second visit to the 51st century, if I'm remembering correctly, and the latest in numerous references to it. We'll have to see how it all plays out, but dating will be very important in the finale, I'm sure. It's likely to have some relevance to exactly who River Song is, too. I'm going to put togther a bulleted list of all the various issues and loose ends. BTW, Steven has promised that during his tenure we'll see the entire River Song story. When it's done and we understand the chronology, it will be possible to watch her episodes in chronological order from her perspective, apparently. Sounds fun. There have been three stories set in the 51st century, all SM. In chronological order, these are: The Girl in the Fireplace, The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. Also, there have been two Torchwood episodes partially set in the 51st century: Adam and Exit Wounds. Apparently, River's squareness gun is Jack's. According to Moffat, Jack will have left it on the TARDIS when he was left behind at the end of The Parting of the Ways, and at some point in the future she either takes it for herself or the Doctor gives her it! Oh, and he does look like a young Michael Palin. ;D

The pshrinks aren't evidence that Amy *was* damaged, they're evidence someone in authority *thought* she was. If she remembers things that nobody else remembers, ie the Doctor, and insists on their truth even in contradiction to the observations of everyone around her, people will worry. Hallucinations and delusions are a bad sign, apparently. But a time traveller would appear delusional on account of moments like in this episode where time is altered but the traveller doesn't know the new version, only the one they'd lived through. Of course mini Amelia didn't actually travel in time... ... but how is it a duck pond when there aren't any ducks?
seeing Amy's attitude to sex as evidence of 'damage' gives me grrrr for stacks of reasons. I disagree. very.
night before her wedding is the perfect time for shagging a stranger - last chance, nerves, wanting a bit of comparison. Her wedding seems to be in a state of uncertainty even in The Beast Below = she couldn't look up spoilers when she hasn't done deciding about it yet. And if the Doctor turned up in my bedroom, imminent wedding or no... I doubt I'd be any more subtle than Amy... it's the Doctor; we have thought about this.
(Like if it was Spike. Or Ethan. Even really bad ideas can seem like really good ideas if they've finally turned up possible.)

When the Doctor escapes, and loses his jacket, the Angels are stone again because the crack is behind them? Means someone is looking through it like the really big eyeball two bits of space pasted together
or is it through it? the shiny that eats people would probably make that difficult. so where else could the observer be?
suspect this has to do with the Doctor in a coat again later.
although if this was last season I wouldn't bother thinking that. Or if it were Torchwood- the clothes continuity in that in season 1 was wretched. But Moffatt does Clues and has gone out his way to make sure we know we need to look and figure things out. So I am looking. And hoping it pays off.

Which it will in only five hours!
