general impressions 3.3 Self Inflicted Wounds: coulda woulda shoulda
*And here's the part of the series where we really start getting into wormhole theory and application.
*I love the alienness Neala's speech. Her ship is also creatively alien.
*-Do you understand any of these words? -Yeah, I watched all kinds of Star Trek. It's just the order they're in. Hee!
*I like Jool. I'm guessing other fans may not because of how annoying she is in the beginning. But she wouldn't be as interesting if she were well adjusted.
*"Wormhole...normal space. Wormhole...normal space." Hahaha!!! Gotta love Rygel.
*I think Crichton's interest in finding earth again at this point is more about trying finding an easy way out from the complicated situation he finds himself in, avoiding dealing with the trauma from scorpius, his actions while under harvey's control, and his confusing relationship with aeryn rather than just returning to the home he knew.

general impressions 3.4 self inflicted wound II: wait for the wheel
*The mood evoked in both episodes is just wonderful. Nihilism. Beautiful despair. Bittersweet hope.
*Simply beautiful send off episode for Virginia Hey. Every scene, Zhaan's last conversations with the other characters are absolutely wonderful.
*Interesting to have the Moyan's divide into 2 groups, but I'm not sure how to much to make of it.
*Jool's comm being placed on her breast is hilarious.
*Harvey develops into the role of Crichton's subconscious.
*And in the end, Zhaan gets her second chance and allows the others theirs.
*And this episode closes the chapter on Crichton's psychotic break, leaving him to retreats again into his head, contemplating the consequences of his actions and his obsessions.

general impressions 3.5 ...Different Destinations
*This episode is one of my favorite one-off episodes. It's also one of the best examples of the counter-Star Trek nature of Farscape, where the protagonists make the timeline worse, not better and no one learns a Very Special Lesson about peaceful conflict resolution.
*This episode revisits the Moyans place in the bigger picture, and foreshadows their entanglement in the Peacekeeper Wars.
*Aeryn and Crichton's ideals are revisited and challenged yet again. Crichton's lingering faith in the Star Trek way of peaceful conflict resolution is tested. Aeryn meets yet another one of her childhood heroes and finds that the man does not live up to the myth.
*Peacekeepers are shown in the role that they ostensibly exist to play, in a time before they lost their way.
*Jool and Chiana get some quality bonding time.
*So many great lines: "You know, if we did change things, it is possible we could improve the future." "With our track record? You think that's going to happen?"
"They punched me! They shot me! They made me drink piss!"
"Feeling left out D'Argo? We're the only ones who don't have voices in our heads."
"Without renewal, there's stagnation."
"There are too many nurses here and not enough fighters."
"All modern research points to the elasticity of time rather than a brittle framework. If nudged closely enough to course, events have a way of restructuring themselves. If the participants are the same, the venue the same, the motivation the same, then, well, the outcome is likely to be the same."
"Fear is good; keep that. But travel light, forget hate."
"Different beliefs, different destinations."
"Why would they do that? What's the point?" "There probably was no point."
*The moment between aeryn and crichton at the end is the last one we see before Crichton gets twinned.

general impressions 3.6 Eat Me
*If you love zombies, you will probably enjoy this episode. Personally, I don't get the appeal, so I feel kind of neutral. Nevertheless, this episode is crucial in setting up the next arc of the series by twinning Crichton and having both survive the end of the episode.
*The Moyans are split in this episode into the groups they will be in during the next arc.
*"See? Violence. You'll get the hang of it."
*"Food...family...is there a difference?"
*D'Argo trying to get Chiana to rescue him from being pleasured by the zombie was pretty funny.

general impressions 3.7 Thanks for sharing
*With Crichton twinned, the show can explore identity crisis...made literal. Truly brilliant. This plotline is one of the things that makes the show so unique and one of the best shows ever made.
*I like the perpetual rain on this planet. It's such a change from all the other planets on this show and pretty much every other sci fi show where the weather is always beautiful.
*Jool is in fine form on this episode, in her interactions with the two Crichtons and in taking over the medical duties on Moya.
*"Is this a proposition?" Ha! And I covet the phones on this planet.
*"Cross my heart. Smack me dead. Stick a lobster on my head."
*-Who's your daddy? D'Argo, tell 'em who his daddy is. -I'm your daddy!
*And Xhalax Sun is introduced into the mix. dun Dun DUN!!!

general impressions 3.8 the green eyed monster *Ben Browder can really write. He should do more of that. *Nods* *Triangulations are very apparent in this episode.: Crichton/Aeryn/Crais. Crichton/Aeryn/Talyn. Crais/Aeryn/Talyn. And though barely referenced TalynCrichton/Aeryn/MoyaCrichton. The blocking and camera angles also highlight the triangles. *I love the new space suits. *"It's the finger of friendship!" *snicker* *Stark is in fine form in this episode: -"The explosion should make the budong vomit and you ride out the wave of the vomit in front of the vomit." -"Electromagnetic candy!" Paul Goddard really sells that line. ;D *In the end, the temporary backsliding and moment of crisis reveals to Aeryn what really matters. And at long last, Crichton and Aeryn get together for real. Squee!!!!

general impressions 3.9 Losing Time *The Talyns have plenty of time (or so TalynCrichton thinks) and the Moyans are losing time. Or perhaps they are just marking time until the Talyns return. *MoyaCrichton, without Aeryn, lets his wormhole obsession completely take over. *I like the motif of the water/blood dripping and finger tapping in the beginning. *-Girls, we will all sit down and watch John. -What if I have to piss? -Well then, we will all urinate together. -You promise? *I like how Crichton's module, which he built himself, can withstand wormholes, while the peacekeeper prowlers, supposedly the cutting edge of technology or something, cannot. *Jool reveals herself to be an escaped prisoner like the rest of the Moyans. *"we don't understand the R2D2 crap. We're going to go with the Star Trek system: 1 blink for yes, 2 blinks for no." Hee! *The starburst chamber is really beautiful, as is the image of Chiana in the nexus (the shot later included in the credits). *On the other hand, the voice of RiderChiana is FREAKING ANNOYING. But Gigi does do an excellent job with the body movements and facial expressions. *Chiana gets her VisionSight.

general impressions 3.10 Relativity
*domestic bliss...aw... This whole TalynCrichton/Aeryn relationship has to feel of a summer camp fling, though.
*This episode is all about relationships, the ties that bind...literally in some cases.
*Wandering around the fire swamp. I'm surprised we didn't see any ROUS's.
*My heart goes out to Xhalax, when it's revealed that she had no idea that peacekeeper command had set her up for a confrontation with Aeryn. The depth of Peacekeeper cruelty and duplicity is truly revealed in this episode.
*Ah, Xhalax has got the same "stiletto" in her wrist that Jenovia did. Must be standard issue for assassins.

general impressions 3.11 Incubator
*this is the requisite Scorpius backstory episode, which is necessary and much appreciated but it also comes across a little too much on the nose. The CrichtonClone in Scorpius's head in particular doesn't really work for me.
*I do like that, while Crichton's head is filled with bright colors and pop culture, Scorpius' head is an empty void.
*I like the little reminder that it's entirely up to Moya and Pilot who stays onboard.
*"truth is never crap." Indeed.
*I like that knowing Scorpius's backstory, as tragic as it is, doesn't make him anymore sympathetic.

general impressions 3.12 Meltdown
*A TV couple is having lots and lots of sex. That can only mean one thing...one of them is going to die soon.
*the crichton/aeryn scenes are meant to be sexy, I know, but come across more as hysterical, particularly when the sax sex music on the soundtrack starts up
*Talyn's predicament is both a reference to the next episodes in this arc as well as his final fate. Icarus, who flew too close to the sun.
*There are some interesting sinister bits involving Stark, but on the whole, this episode doesn't interest me very much.

general impressions 3.13 Scratch n Sniff *Just one of those Saturday Nights. Not really relevant in the scope of the larger story, but it is really entertaining. Also a nice bit of levity before the high drama/tragedy of the next two episodes. *Innovative aesthetic and really creative editing. Once again playing with linear narrative and altered perspective. *Fantastic moment where Crichton wakes up with D'Argo in the window wearing stockings. *Kabbah makes me think of that creature in Pan's Labyrinth. *It made him...dance? *We get confirmation that Harvey exists in both Crichton's heads.

general impressions 3.14 infinite possibilities I: daedalus demands *And the Talyn Crichton's journey reaches it's inevitable conclusion. Wormholes rear their ugly head, disrupting domestic bliss with Aeryn. *Aeryn starts learning English. Cute. *I do have to wonder though, why AncientJack targeted this Crichton and not the other or both. *Actually, everyone in this episode seem to have forgotten about the other Crichton. *-Let me be your eye. -Perfect. The half blind leading the blind. *Love, love, love Furlow in this episode.

general impressions 3.15 infinite possibilities II: icarus abides *No matter how many times I watch these 2 episodes, I'm still not sure of AncientJack's motives. He dies way too easily. I could go all conspiracy theory, but I'm not entirely sure whether than Ancients interaction with Crichton was 100% calculated or just mostly calculated. *I have no prayer for that. Indeed. Whoa. *Don't worry about me. I've never felt better.

general impressions 3.16 revenging angel
*As an experimental episode, this worked well. Very appropriate and entertaining use of the animation.
*Moya Crichton has a near death experience right after TalynCrichton dies.
*I find it interesting that Crichton and D'Argo should be in such conflict after having developed such a strong buddy buddy relationship
*Hilarious that animated aeryn complains about the the way she's dressed when her actual outfit is just as revealing
*Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to bid farewell to our friend, John Crichton, a schmuck. Mule headed, a reckless, and probably brain dead before I met him. #rofl1# #rofl1# #rofl1#
*I love Aeryn. That should be enough.

general impressions 3.17 The Choice
*This episode ranks right up there with BTVS's The Body or honest depictions of grief and loss on TV.
*On the other hand, throughout all of Aeryn's grief, I can't help wanting to shout at the screen that there's another Crichton, alive and well on Moya. At least they give an off hand mention at the very end.
*This episode is one of my favorites aesthetically (cross between Million Dollar Hotel and Blade Runner). And Aeryn has never looked more beautiful than in this episode.
*-And so you want my pity? -Oh no, I want your pain. To know how close I was to love. So close...and then to lose it all in an instant. I've heard loved ones leave you in pieces, that little by little you start to forget things about them, but that's not true. You lose them, everything, instantly. And suddenly nothing can replace them. Nothing. And now you have nothing. How does it feel?
*We Peacekeepers think we are so remarkable. Soldiers without equal. Precise tacticians. Pure bloods. But I've realized that we're not remarkable. We do nothing for love. Not one thing.
*I died a long time ago. You live for me.
*Xhalax's Choice rivals Sophie's Choice for poignancy.
*Wow. This episode really makes me want to see everything that Linda Cropper has ever done ever.
