Nah, I think that was in the 1928 prayer book, and has since been edited out. How did it go, actually? ;D It went fine, thank goodness. It was actually funny, because the priest (originally from Figi, so he had this awesome accent) had just been assigned to the church days ago, and this was his first christening there. He came in early to fill up the baptismal font, then couldn't figure out how to turn it off, so it overflowed, and basically flooded the church. Which is carpeted. D'oh! Then the poor man realized that he didn't have any way to light the candle, so he came out in the entry way where we were all waiting and asked if anyone smoked. Which was a little disconcerting, since at the time we didn't know he was only asking because he wanted to borrow a lighter! I was thinking it was some new rule about casting smokers out of the church that the Pope handed down recently. That finally got cleared up and a lighter was lent, and the baptism could finally get under way. I felt so badly for the priest that I didn't have time to get nervous about my responsibilities. I held the baby, and she slept through almost the entire ceremony. I had passed her off to the godfather by the time it came to pouring water on her head, and only then did she cry. So, yay me! Yay you! And oh, the poor priest! But at least it all came out alright in the end.

HE WILL NEVER BE EXERTING HIMSELF ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR SKANKY REGION. My goodness, what dirty minds there are around here! All I meant was, when is he gonna do a little sweating climbing the steep yet rounded mounds around my parts?

You know about collecting the lamb's blood in a silver urn though, right? Because if you don't have that, boy will your face be red. Actually, it's fawn's blood, but yeah.

IF you guys are feeling voter-y, the Buffyfest website is doing their version of March Madness: September Silliness. They are voting on the best season finale of all the Whedonverse shows. IF you want to vote, the link is here. Nifty! I voted. Natch. ;D I did too! Some of the decisions were hard!!!

I'm not finding many of the new shows extraordinarily compelling. I mean, I'll be trying a few out, but not much is jumping up and dragging me toward it forcibly. But there's returning shows like Glee and Community and so on and so forth, so yay for that! The Event sounds interesting.

9 hours of running!! Whoa! Just think of what else he could do for hours and hours . . . Someone on twitter just said something along the same lines, and I was SCANDALIZED. And ashamed that I hadn't already thought of that. I am impressed with his copulous (sp? ) amounts of energy and enthusiasm.

Is anyone else having trouble getting on the board? This isn't the first day I've been having problems, but boy, is it frustrating. Anyways, Going on 11 hours and Misha's still running. Someone reported that they hunted him down and offered him water, advil, and almonds, and he took pictures with them. They said he was really sweet and polite and grateful, and he said he had to keep bouncing around so he wouldn't cramp up. After that many hours of running and he was still gracious and sweet and giving. HOW IS SUCH A HUMAN POSSIBLE?

Oh, and as far as how much money he's raised? The count right now is just under $95,000.

He's not big on the running to as much as running for, I guess. Julia, it cooled down again this evening.
