Since this morning I have: Walked to market. Done the laundry with help from Emily. Drove around local shopping errands, coming home with two bundles of firewood. I had no shame about asking for help this time; a strapping male clerk at Ralphs had to disentangle my bundles of wood because I couldn't even get them off the pile, put them in a cart, then wheel them to my car and put them in for me. Emily brought them in, at my suggestion log by log. Helped Emily clean up around the hearth; she also shoveled all the ashes out of the fireplace. I even found and cleaned (as much as I could) the metal log basket, which a Certain Male of the Species had stuck out on the patio porch, then piled crap all over it and left it to gather cobwebs and rust. Fell asleep after lunch and am now feeling extremely groggy and yucky. with extra to Sue and Julia. According to Dallas Raines, the snow level in So Cal may drop to 1K feet, which means Aged Mum might get a few flurries. This is going to be an interesting weekend, but probably not in a fun way. I'm going to nip out the door into the back yard and get some lemons off the Meyer before it gets dark. S'cubies, have a good one.

Julia: for oral surgery. Thanks. It was infinitely less horrific than another root canal would be; adequately nightmareish in its own way but over in a half-hour. Julia, really, I was so over having another two-hour session. You have all my empathy and (gentle) huggles. Teeth stuff is my most hated of stuff!

They'll do in a pinch, but I prefer the freshness of toasting my own apes. You two are very silly. Deep-fried ape, anyone? With powdered sugar on top! And sprinkles. 'Cuz sprinkles make anything better. ;D

A snow day in VERMONT!?! Why have I not heard of this Snowpocolypse? Hi Sara, welcome bad, waves wildly. And: back from the doc: blood values are down a bit on all counts but nothing dramatic and only one (platelets) below "normal" but still not crazy low. So I'm good to go on to round two starting March 14. And the risk of side effects is not cumulative so hopefully it will be as easy as round one. I just really really really really hope it is working! In fact, I'm cleared to do anything -- even large crowds and traveling. Sadly, no excuses to ask for meals to be brought in, etc. ;D Sue: I've been meaning to tell you how many good thoughts I'm keeping for you. I really hope this continues to go well! Eetah, eetah, eetah!! Lots of for you, Sue!

Well, off and oral surgery and home and still nobody else is posting. It's lonely out in space... Julia, on such a timeless flight like this I've got a snow day from work, so I've been mostly alternating between picking away at cleaning things up here at my folks' house and catering to Kaylee's whims when she wants to go outside. Not looking forward to dealing with the accumulation out there once the snow finally lets up... I'm sending you good snow-removal-ing vibes! OOooh, and how about a flamethrower? Would a flamethrower be useful? Here, have two! ;D

Lew and I are watching the Rumsfeld/Stewart interview of the other night. I have to keep pausing throughout because Lew's talking to the tv.

Nothing too exciting, I'm afraid.

Lovely little dance number with a very delightful Harry Shum Jr (from Glee). Take a look!

Tol'dja! Now all I have to do is deal with getting it healed, blah. Julia, also get caught up on some sleep.
