Hey ho, all! Did I ever congratulate you, Doctor Queen of All Erinificusness? If not, CONGRATS!! Wacky weather we've had. Got up to 103 on Tuesday, back down to 65 (and colder at night) the next day. Ca-razy! Been on a kick of watching Craig Ferguson's show. SO FUN! Really enjoy that guy. "Mouth organ, awkward pause, or touch my glittery ball?" HEEEEE! Sue - love the paint chip ads in the last part - I think my favorite was the last one, with the fish jumping? Very cool! I love Craig Ferguson. Rarely watch because after Jon and Stephen I'm asleep, but I like Craig when I see him. And I love the paint commercials. So pretty. They make me happy and smile.

Sue..... Watching men's golf in TN and I noticed that the course is a Ron P... design. Any relation? We are watching Vanderbilt in a "super-regional" game (2nd round level) trying to get into the College World Series in Omaha. We have to beat Oregon St. 2 out of three and are leading 9-0 in the 6th right now in the first game. I think it's too hot for these Oregon guys.

I am using the power of the DVR to feed my Craigy Ferguson fixation without killing me from lack of sleep.

HellOOO--oooo, it's Matthew's birthday! Sad day when I'm the first one to mention it, tsk tsk.
Julia, nothing for him, although I did run a saw across the back of my hand just now, in his honor!

Apparently, they have remodeled some part of the Franklin County Courthouse in Columbus, and the steps are glass. . . looks pretty, but the women are complaining they cannot use the stairs with a dress on, since it is possible to stand below the stairs and look up!I love this part: While security guards warn women about taking the stairs, it seems most are just hoping people will be mature about the situation.
"They hope people will be mature? That's not a solution," Lynch said to 10TV. "If we had mature people that didn't violate the law, we wouldn't have this building."Amazin'.

I think I'm done with the great craft magazine purge and reorg. I kept thinking I'd gone through all of them, and I kept finding another hoard. But I think I've got them all now. Well, except for indexing all the Cloth Paper Scissors, CPS Studios and Where Women Create, but I can do that over the weekend. I went through all the embroidery booklets, too, and found more old crafts magazines in there. Alas for dinosaurs, rabbits and ducks, all outgrown by the Daughters. I kept the spacecraft, cats and hummingbird cross-stitch charts, though, because I still like those. I sure have a lot of needlework books. I really should get around to doing something out of them, in my copious free time. G'night, S'cubies everywhere.

my lunch plan went a bit wrong cause the quorn burgers I bought turn out to be a new and different kind, again again, and these ones are called 'sizzling BBQ', which apparently means they're made with two kinds of cheese (which I can't digest) and can only be cooked on a grill (which I don't got)
also my lunch plan wasn't off to a good start when I realised it was pretty much dinner time already.
I made pasta and quorn mince instead.
my life is really fascinating today and there is no Doctor Who for months and months and months
also my essays are still not done. but I'm trying to hold off on panic about that for at least another couple of days.

Woken at 4:50AM by cat reminding me to get up before breakfast was late. Husband fell asleep on the couch last night due to excessive coughing, so I got up and moved him onto the bed.
Went out. Had breakfast, brought half home. Bought a few groceries. Hit Kinko's when it opened, copied one more craft magazine page so I can file the last two articles. Bought more groceries. Came home.
Husband and I still have The Cold That Won't Die - he's coughing and sneezing, I have a sore throat, an earache and coughing. However, the weather here is lovely, by my standards anyway, damp and drizzling, which helps lay the dust a bit anyway. The cats are frustrated, but I like it.
We're going on a bit of a bookshop crawl later this morning, to the Japanese bookstore and wooey shops in Costa Mesa, then home by way of the used bookstore in Orange and maybe the one in Yorba Linda.
So that's my day so far.
