40? Just doesn't seem possible. How old is SMG now? Let's see, she was 18, right, when BtVS started? And it started in 95, I believe, so that was . . .16 years ago, so that makes her 34 or so. I don't know when her b-day is. Buffy herself was 3 yrs younger than SMG, so even the Buffster would be in her 30's now! Amazin'. Charisma is gorgeous, though I've always liked her better with the darker hair. SMG was born April 14, 1977. Which would make her 34, yes. DB is 42, and JM is almost 50. I will be 70 in 12 years. I tell my sister that all the time. It freaks her out. I'm a year older than you, so next year there's one of those zero moments. Julia, life just keeps going, yes?

Supposed to have Andrew today, but his dad preempted him: we need more useful young men around here, which excluded my cousin's two, alas.
Probably OK, I'm 100% shot right now. Worked too hard yesterday, and of course reburned my neck sweating off my sunblock.
Just feed chickens/move lamb/water chickens/talk to lamb, perhaps do a little light laundry and weeding, should photograph everything, but getting a minute when the light's right is a challenge: I have the minute, or the light, but all too rarely both at the same time.

Today I installed a program update to our antivirus and after that the browsers won't open, Firefox or IE. So I'm running a full Malwarebytes scan because it's all I can think to do, and I'm at the library with Kitty. I haven't been able to reach our PC repair guy yet either. This is so not good. I can't get a break, I just can't. I'm on the edge of a panic attack and I feel like throwing up. It's not just the computer, it's all the stress, and everybody depending on me all the time. i need a hug, please please?

I did some googling, and it may (or may not) have been a problem with the avast update. If so, I do not have the technical skills to fix it, at all at all. I am so tired of all this , I just want to crawl into a hole and let somebody else deal with it. Except that there is nobody else. Feeling very sorry for myself...

She still looks good, but I think she looks better with dark hair. Hard to believe the kids are all grown up, isn't it? ;D Grown up? They're nearly middle-aged! Diane *OLD!*

I'm feeling really sorry for myself, myself, although in equal parts relieved that I won't be beating myself down with another day of striving against the physical world: Andrew was supposed to be here today, but he's working with his dad instead, so I won't get the watering trough reseated nor important stuff done on the Wyandotte coop; on the other hand, I won't put a retread on my sunburn or work so hard I end up stuck sitting on the front porch steps unable to pull myself to standing.
Julia, yesterday ended up being a right bitch

Girl, you need to stand up and tell everyone around you that you're at the breaking point and need help! It does no one any good if you crater. Trust me on this, I've been there--cratering and all! Oddly enough, things still manage to get done somehow.

One of my long-term fannish ethnographic interests has been the way Jason Momoa is perceived by the Conan fandom as represented by various geekoid comment threads: one thing which is most marked is how the people complaining about him being "too small" and, uh, insufficiently masculine have shut the heck up since Game of Thrones premiered.
Now most of the negative chatter is a continuation of how bad a director Marcus Nispel is, something I have no opinion of since I've seen nothing he's made.
Julia, "too small" heh: they need to see the pics of him with his wife, her ex husband and his step-daughter (Lisa Bonet, Lenny Kravitz, Zoe Kravitz: all tiny, tiny people, so small JM looks as if he's standing too close to the camera even when he's behind them.
