I hereby concur and verify that all compliments on page 4 are true, valid, and not even a tiny bit exagerated. Julia, who has gotten like ten out of a gazillion things done today You are a wonderful human being, and S'cubies are the best people on the internets. And before I forget again, Surrealist Compliment Generator. The French Foreign Legion could not match the lucid beauty of your toenails!

Upon reflection, I decided I'd rather go for another walk than try to watch Torchwood. So I went to Cost Plus and bought important and useful things. All right, so one of them was chocolate, but it's still essential. Of course chocolate is essential. Chocolate is life! Life is chocolate!!

Laundry is progressing. So far the controls are all functioning correctly. I walked to the market and back, go me. I'm trying to decide if I really care enough about Torchwood to watch the one from last week; I'm about at the point where I'd rather read somebody's synopsis than actually go to the trouble of watching it. I've been thinking, and you know what I wish? I wish that just once, somebody would compliment me, without qualifiers, and mean it. "You're doing a really good job, thank you." Instead of "Well, I'm sure you're doing the best/as much as you can, but I wish you'd visit more often/do a better job/do more for me/work harder". I'm just so tired of people putting their "buts" in my face. well you've got a great turn of phrase Indeed! Also? Ha! ;D

Sue, glad to see you back, hope the vacation was all that is good. Anna was catching up on W13 last night, so I rewatched two episodes and didn't see the new W13 or Alphas. Summer is tricky for keeping up with TV, what with baseball and working outside until dark, and all. Julia, not to mention the whole "no digital or dvr in the bedroom" thing. I will confess to just deleting that last ep or so of Alphas w/o watching. Too Much To Do Instead! **hides face in shame** In fact, I won't even be here for Project Runway this week, but at least it is for a good cause. Going out to the annual "Can't Stop the Serenity" thing. Woo hoo! Opens with a truly sing-along Dr Horrible and then the movie. Then they'll show the first season of the Guild, which I think we won't stay for. (I mean, I love the Guild, but I've seen the first season and it'll be getting late by then and I've gotta work the next day and do 3 trainings. Oy!)

*snort* The poor little puppies! So many of themor possibly some dogs have many unfortunate days. I can't decide which is worse. I am usually afraid of dogs. I am not afraid of these dogs. I am up to "Oddly Dignified Dog Is More Mature Than You" ... yes, that outfit and dignity are matching... Heee! These are AWESOME! I am particularly fond of "Juggernaut Of Unfortunate Choices Dog Stunned By Own Unacceptability".

Tonight's drama:The older sister cried twice, because the younger sister was "mean to her." It was a combo of over-sensitivy on the older one's part, and actual meaness on the younger one's part. They have an interesting dynamic - they can be pretty nasty (calling names, saying hurtful things) to each other when they argue, but the older one will cry, while the younger one will laugh and act like she doesn't care. I sent the younger one upstairs to cool off and comforted the older one, while we discussed how to avoid these confilicts in the future. Later, I talked to the younger one. They were playing together just fine later, and all seemed to be forgotten. Those two girls are incredibly lucky to have you. Eetah!!

The girls are sleeping - at last. I finally got the lawn mowed -whew. It was in DESPERATE need. The girls and I did chores most of the day, with a few left for tomorrow. Today's drama: The 14 yr old got stung by a bee while we were walking home from the nearby donut shop. She had only the most mild of skin reactions to it - very much like a mosquito bite - but was very upset and seemed near tears about it. This time, I did not have to fake the "don't worry, it is going to be OK" responses. That's because you've gotten plenty of practice dealing with bee fear from me, right? SEE, I AM A VERY HELPFUL PERSON. LOOK OVER THERE, MONNIE!! A BEE!!! No, wait. It's just Sue. Don't bee afraid!

A big HI!!!!! and hug to everyone. Been absolutely wiped out at work. Getting a new person to take over some of the responsibilities that were dumped on me couple of years ago still hasn't cut down on the extra hours but at least I don;t go home quite as tired. Hope to be able to get back to catching up on all the s'cubie news and even posting soon. To add the the local news: "The Avengers" starts filming in downtown Cleveland tomorrow. There was even news today about a Whedon sighting yesterday while he checked out the closed-off/repurposed street that will be the scene of some of the shooting. Will try to advise of other Whedon-related news tips. (Sorry, Spring, no known meet and greet scheduled. We only wish.......) leftylady, who saw "Cowboys & Aliens" yesterday which only made me miss Firefly/Serenity all the more. I am soooo squeeful for you!! I look forward to hearing exciting adventures-in-Whedoning stories from you!!
