Welcome to Part 1135 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread, proof positive that you can be punk rock at any age.
Head butts to anyone who posts spoilers go anywhere but Spoiled Souls; if you want to talk on the main thread about a show just aired or casting news, etc, just highlight what you've written click the ghost-y looking button above the message area...
The world is kind of insane. You can drink black coffee and stare at the wall, or discuss things like religion, politics, and plans for world domination. For that, we've got the Open Topics Thread!
Rollins and MacKaye suggest that you post early and often.*poster by hugh casey, found on facebook

Hee. Not sure who those two are, but they certainly look Serious. Well, the one on the right is Henry Rollins, notable testoseronepunk; not sure who the other guy is, but then that's true of practically everyone these days. Julia, in the middle of washing towels because EVERY FREAKING ONE IN THE HOUSE was dirty

The other one is Ian MacKaye, leader singer of Fugazi (and Minor Threat)...he's the one who pioneered straight edge.

The angle makes him look bigger than he is. Oops. Julia, uncool, unpunk, but punk-adjacent.

The closest I've ever come is various random interactions with members of the Smashing Pumpkins, including nearly getting hit by Billy Corgan's car and almost knocking over James Iha at a record store when I tripped over loose carpet.

Speaking of anti-rock:
When I was about 10, I was in a production of the musical Little Mary Sunshine, and spent the next year (having memorized the songs) torturing my family by bursting out with "Playing Croquet" or "Naughty Naughty Nancy" at random intervals.
Well, revenge being a dish best served cold, after a good 27-year hiatus, I've got various songs from said musical stuck in my head. For like a week now. *sigh* One could almost wish for Dollhouse tech at times like this...

I married Cinder Block's cousin; I was in Girl Scouts and close family friendship with Jared Warren's mother. Total inadvertance.

Also, did we get linked to The E! article on Joss's Much Ado? Because it is glorius! Glorius! and there's darned nifty photos of Joss, Sean Maher (who is Don Juan; I bet he'll make everyone forget Keanu Reeves #rofl2#) and Alex and Amy as B&B. Shot in twelve days, after Playboy Club was cancelled, which basically means in pretty much the last two weeks. The miracle being Nathan managed to not tweet about id during that time. Julia, fantastic, no?

Julia, fantastic, no? I posted a link in the last part, right before I started mentally flailing from here to next Thursday. There's a pdf of the official press release at the movie's official web site here, or you can read its contents, which includes the cast list, here.

They finished shooting yesterday. Julia, yay, and also yay.

EW did two articles, one right after the news came out, which is the one I linked to, and the one with the interviews that you linked to this evening. And seriously, how in the hell *did* they keep Fillion from tweeting about it during the filming? They must have taken his phone away or broken his fingers or something.
