Can I get some more S'cubie vibes? There's a great job, working with people whose theories were instrumental in my thesis, but certain factors (like letters) may tank it before it begins. Can you guys just keep your fingers crossed everything gets there on time, and then, if you've got any to spare, that I actually get the job? Seriously, this whole process makes me feel about an inch high. Or maybe like the ugliest and dumbest puppy at the pound, that keeps getting passed over for cuter, smarter dogs. You've got 'em. On all counts. It's not an easy haul, I know. But you are not an ugly, dumb pound puppy. You are the awesome Dr Queen E. So there.

I think I need a hug. I've been feeling like impending doom all day, like I'm on the verge of a panic attack, like something big is going to go wrong. I have no idea why, but it's not fun and I can't seem to shake it off. One coming right up.

Thank you, all. And sorry for the pity party; it's just discouraging.

Hi, all ONE MORE DAY! ONE MORE DAY!! OMG. Wow. That's a big step there! What are you going to do first, once you're free? I'm going to Disneyland! But I assume you mean after that . . . Actually, I am so busy, busy, busy with the girls, I don't expect to have much free time. But I hope to actually be able to get some sleep, get caught up on a million chores, and maybe have some time for myself now and then . . . it is going to be good. I have no regrets and am filled with an "I can't wait!!" feeling.

Congratulations to the UW Huskies, who scored 56 points in the Fiesta Bowl. And lost. Julia,

By the way, I did create a thread for the Doctor Who Christmas special. In case anyone has anything to say about it.

Whoa. That Castle episode (Called Kick the Ballistics) was worthy of 4 star Joss Whedon rating. Especially the suprise twist at the end, not to mention the ongoing story arc. Again....Whoa! Interestingly enough, a lot of the episode centered around the minor characters, with awesome tie-ins to the major characters and great guest star performances. Please keep it up, writers!! How's everyone today? As you can see, I am catching up on Castle and doing a bit of paper sorting, etc. I'd love to start the year off with a clear desk here at home, at least.

I figure I have at least another 3 years of work ahead of me, 6 more likely...if I'm lucky.
