Happy belated birthday, Diane!!!! Thank you! I gots tulips on my desk from one of my co workers when she found out I'd had a birthday. So I might be sour on management, but some people here are not so bad.

Hey, y'all.
Franklin gave me his frelling cold.
I still must work outside to keep my sheep and chickens happy.
Not to mention cows.
I am sincerely de-energized.
Without his mustache, Austin looks way too much like Bambi.
Julia, my mind she is blown.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the yummies!!! Happy Birthday, late though I am. Hope you had the best of everything, especially a good night's sleep. Yesterday was disgustingly wet here, and I spent much of it outside- when it stopped raining, I was grocery shopping, so now the sheep is mad at me. Julia, ready for my vacation, Mr. DeMille...

Bob and I decided our constant craft-making in the living room requires some furniture adjustment. The coffee table has been summarily moved to the dining room. Little tables and tray tables have been purchased. We now have interchangable surfaces for working, eating and computing. Karaoke for St Patrick's. What the Japanese invention has to do with the Irish holiday, I'm not sure--but hey, a little fun, right?

and I could use one myself. Rain rain rain here, so no yard sales and no breakfast out. I am feeling much oppressed and sorry for myself. When the rain let up a bit I decided to virtuously get as much of Aged Mum's shopping done as possible (the rest has to wait until tomorrow, as I don't have enough freezer or refrigerator space). It started pouring again as I was coming out of the market, but I drove to Aaron Brothers and Michael's anyway. I was going to get myself something nice for lunch, but it was raining too hard to stop anywhere, so I just went straight home and couldn't even park in front of my own house because one of the neighbors had parked their SUV there. Then the power went out. As far as we can tell, a transformer blew about *counts* four blocks south and took out the power for a large swath of the neighborhood. I had a nasty cold improvised lunch of leftovers and tried to read by flashlight. As you can tell, the power is back on now, after about three hours. So it could have been worse, but I am still not having a good weekend. ETA: And just to put the crown on my no-good day, I just checked UPS to see where my package is, and it's... wait for it... on its way back here, "Receiver has refused the delivery of the package.". I called my brother. I sent the package to the correct address. He hasn't heard anything from UPS. He certainly hasn't refused any packages. When it gets here, I'm taking it straight back to the UPS store, unopened, where I will first make sure that what was sent is what was returned, and second, make them send it back. I have a headache. ETA the Second: I wonder if, given the impossibly fast turnaround, UPS sent my package to the wrong Ontario - California, not Canada.

Guess where the girls and I are going tomorrow: Huntsville, Alabama! You gonna go see Monnie? Yep. We were considering Dollywood for spring break, but it doesn't open for another week. And I got to thinking - I've never been in Alabama, I haven't seen Monnie for over 2 yrs . . . and Huntsville sounds like a nice town, so I am taking the girls down there. I told Monnie they were young and impressionable and she was going to have to be on best behavior. I'm trying not to worry.
