Wouldn't that be nice?Welcome to Part 1147 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread Party! You want world peace? We may not be able to deliver the whole enchilada but we can try and do our parts to bring it about, starting with a whole Website of tranquil activities including great fan fic, essays and analyses of favorite television episodes by a diverse group of writers all coexisting under the S'cubie tent. Looking for sociable discourse on the topics of the decade, or just the topics of the day? Stroll on over to the Open Topics Forum to calmly discuss whatever is on your mind. Remember to keep your conversations amicable or you'll find we're not as pacifistic as we appear. ;D Need to know how to conduct yourself in our halcyon haven from the clamorous world? Read The Rules if you haven't done so already and even if you have but need a refresher course. Are you obsessed in love, love, love with television? Same here! All you need is love and you'll definitely find a world of that to talk about in the I love, love LOVE TV section of the board. Do not, under any circumstances harsh our mellow by posting spoilers anywhere but Spoiled Souls or under the ghost button provided for your convenience in the reply screen. Stay harmonious, eschew hostility and mind the rules, and you will find this place to be a friendly, serene corner of the world where we are bringing you peace one post at a time.* *Ignore me and I will beat you to death with a shovel.** ** A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend. ;D Oh, and Happy New Year, Everyone!!!

Thanks, doll! It's been a while since I've used it and thought it appropriate this year. How are things?

Oh! And I paid my dues. It's the only holiday card going out from me this year. I've been too sick to send any out and now it's too late, alas.

Wonderful new part, Onj. It's a bit of a re-run--but in the best of good ways.

Hey-Ho!
2012 continues apace: the fourth time I needed to open the back door this morning, it didn't.
So I spent about two hours taking the old door knob apart and banging the frozen lock out, and time and money I had great need for elsewhere buying a new lockset, and when I finish lunch I need to install it.
Merry Christmas, etcetera and so on, I need to eat lunch now, an hour and a half late.
Julia, feeling relentlessly picked on

So this week, I started a new rotation, Infectious Disease, still in Cheyenne. I drove out to Pocatello, ID and back for an interview, in and around this storm that passed through here. Then today I had an interview in Fort Collins. I am exhausted, y'all. But at least I am done with interviews, and I can enjoy Christmas now.

Anna and her young man drove that route last winter en route from Missouri to Boise; they ended up staying in a motel in Idaho Falls because of the weather. Julia, also because it's a freaking LONG drive, good grief.

So, yeah, since Franklin is in line ahead of me for the bathroom, I've got a few spare moments to put to best use, which is wishing y'all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Rejoice at the return of the sun/ and all that jazz.
I have the sheep fed, rice cooking for the chickens twice a week supplemental goodies, and as soon as Himself totters out of the bathroom I've got to go cut my bangs so I can see out and then wash my hair, et'c.
Julia, life is rich and full and I need a permanent live in back-up plan.

I was purple in the haze of a bad panda, but heaven knows I'm sweet-smelling now...You know you are a bit holiday stressed with the generator starts making sense. Thanks for the shiny new part, Onjel! And the reminder. I should don my gay apparel.

Happy almost Christmas, all! I went ahead and created the thread for the DW Christmas special, reckoning I might not be on much tomorrow. It's here; enjoy!
