Hm. On the old laptop they only appeared occasionally. Maybe I had anti-ad software and didn't know it.

I also failed to mention that I like seeing the Dalek opener visit us again. If you have to recycle, I say recycle the best! Hee! I'm glad you liked it! Sorry, I was avoiding the board until I got a chance to watch PR.

You know, I think Heidi might still be paying Nina back for the whole Gretchen/Mondo debacle. Because, honestly, what's more interesting? Going over the top and (maybe failing) or playing it safe? It's funny that both the guys really played it safe.

I have been busy as bees slaying the Usefuls this morning. Went out, had breakfast, came home with the other half, which Younger Daughter is eating for lunch. Walked to the shopping center and did our marketing so I can concentrate on Aged Mum's tomorrow morning. Also, walkies good. Vacuumed the den, master bedroom and master bathroom sinks area, much to the consternation of the Fluffycat, who was trapped in the actual bathroom. I did warn her, but she just wouldn't listen. Cats. Have been taking apart my totemic critters and goddess icons shelves, to be combined into one, hopefully less cluttered, totemic shelf and one more shelf for artsy-craftsy supply storage. *Refills basket of brackets on coffee table, puts plate of cookies and other sweets on tea cart, heads back to work*

I feel vaguely ashamed, as all I've done today is drink some coffee, mess around on the computer, and watch "The Satan Pit" while I ate breakfast. You've inspired me to get my ass in gear!

I am down to only 2 rooms to go in the great post-wedding clean up. (And a giant boatload of emails and papers to go through). Also -- I signed up for the 70,000 steps in 7 days challenge at the gym where I do "rehab" (which really needs another name for folks like me: "keeping minimally in shape-hab"). It's supposed to run Monday-Sunday but I'm giving myself an extra 2 day cushion by starting today. Although it's highly unlikely that even with the cushion I will make the goal. Still, motivating to try. Kind of wish I'd had a pedometer on all last week when I has constantly moving stuff from floor to floor and room to room.

Well, I'm going to eat lunch and collapse in a heap with Daniel Deronda. I told Paul last night that I have been reading the novels of George Eliot and enjoying them, and he said "Better you than me". him. I still have to figure out how to get the bits of double-stick foam off the inside of the shelf. It looks like a job for Goo Gone , which, since it's an 8'x10' room, means having a window open, and since it's 80° and rising outside, I may wait until tomorrow morning to work on that. At least I can just shut the door and walk away...

Starting from the premise that there are no stupid questions, I'll just call this a 19th century Luddite uninformed question:
I assume that Kindles have limited storage space? How does one delete (or store elsewhere, but there are things I actually would delete) books from one's Kindle?

I just started reading "Cutting For Stone," which is starting out very promising, and was recommended to me by Becky H. I am sure there must be a way to delete stuff from a Kindle, but I don't have one - would suggest googling "how to delete from Kindle" or some such thing.

Hey, Sue - Sounds like it was a successful and excellent wedding - congrats to the new couple! And best of luck with the 70,000 steps in 7 days challenge thing. So, is anyone else watching Defiance on SyFy? I really enjoyed the pilot ep. And hey, Julie Benz is in it!

So, is anyone else watching Defiance on SyFy? I really enjoyed the pilot ep. And hey, Julie Benz is in it! I am about half way thru the pilot. Okay so far -- nothing terribly special, but with such a large cast and complicated back-story I'll give it at least 3 or 4 episodes. It took a while for Falling Skies to grow on me.
