Well, yesterday's "maybe" storm dropped some six inches of water on us, flooding streets, causing power outages and generally wreaking havoc. Bob came home soaked just from the car to the house. My massage? You REALLY think I was going to go out in THAT? No way. Back to square one? I never got to square one. And judging by how my head feels right now, I won't today either. Houston is a big story on The Weather Channel this morning. (followed by Nashville)

So, we're all pretending Monday didn't happen, then?
Given the suck fest that was H50, again, fine by me.
Julia, I'll just adjust the expected hatch date for 40 eggs accordingly.

Once more into the breech, dear friends...
I am now tracing the pattern for (yet ANOTHER) bodice mockup. By now it's no longer a mockup-- it's more of a muck up. Nevertheless, bfff Deb (master seamstress) came over yesterday and helped me tweak that unworkable pattern into something that might just contain my excessive boobage.
We can only hope.

One reason I stopped sewing is that I'm prone to destroy things trying to make them utterly perfect: best relax before the fabric comes apart. Julia, worked down to the nub all ready and not even pegged the sheep out yet, ugh

Julia, Anne, sleepy, dopey, grumpy, sneezy and achy. Five dwarves outta seven, what do I win?

Front of bodice is still an issue because my waist and boobage do not fit the rest of the pattern. 'Patternia est omnis divisa in partes tres'

Anybody watching the PR Bitchoff? This ought to be fun given how many competitors HATE each other. I'm tempted; depends on whether I can stay awake that long. Anyone else having general internets badness today? I can't get to gmail off and on, and everything is slow atshort intervals. Julia, of course, my computer will be seven in a few months, so it may be suffering symptoms of mortality

My 10 year old modem had to be replaced but the new computers refused to recognize the new one.

There are more fires, and the big one one up near Ventura County is still spreading. My friend who lives in Thousand Oaks called in sick today so she could stay home and be ready to pack if necessary. She's on the other side of TO from the fire, but still, it's unnerving, to say the least. Good vibes for Southern California, please?
