The shorter the better. Mini-skirt. Wide belt. Bustier. * Going to be kinda sticky.

So, they're making dresses out of candy? I remember we did this before. We could do a movie theater candy theme. Good and Plenty, Milk Duds, Dots.

I'm thinking of adding some big springy things shooting out of the hat with candy baubles hanging off, so that you can walk up to the model and bite off the dangling candy bits. Ooooh! Maybe even play like a game! Blindfold you and put your hands behind your back and you have to try to find and bite off the candy!!

Hot glue would hurt like the dickens! Altho, I think she was playing it up a bit because she was failing with her candy design. Kind of like this kid I knew who would fall down during a soccer game and stop the game with his crying. 2 minutes later he was up and kicking the ball like nothing happened.

Well, with so little time, I read something about "Candyland" and went with it . . . have to get it on photobucket . . . will have it soon, with time to add some stuff if you like . . . .

I'd do "penny" candy. My skirt would be full of the wax lips and candy cigarettes. The top would be the sugar dots that came on cash register rolls. I'd make a criss cross halter top over an Aline mini. Super high platform spike heels and a wax lips/candy cigarette fascinator with a yellow patent leather clutch. Red twizzler bangle bracelets .

Some really interesting designs and textures!
It's harder than I thought it would be to pick a favorite.
Dang. Love the Black red and yellow beaded thing. Lots of movement.
Hehe..there is a lot of candy on the ground after that one.
For me, it's between the shiny black licorice ensemble, and the lime green one shoulder overall shorts.
But the Crushed candy and black licorice dress is also very very cool. Like stained glass. I'd wear that one and brave getting licked to death. ;D

Candy dress: I like Cadbury purple, and shiny foil, so I'd make a dress out of purple with it turned back along the top to show silver, kind of like someone was unpeeling the dress off one shoulder.

I had to do this really fast, so I picked the simplest "base dress" I could find. Agree a brighter color would be better . . . Also, what should be on her head? Some kind of hat . . . ?

Runway!
Gunnar - Well, he's a pissy lil dude, but this is actually a cute dress. I don't really care for peplums that much, but I love the checkerboard pattern!
Sonjia - Love the blue gummy shark neckline! The color palette as a whole is very pretty. Slight oddness with skirt, but the hat is cute.
Melissa - I like that she made a hard-edged design out of candy - nice juxtaposition! And the licorice as leather thing? Very cool!
Nathan - Cute, but a bit precious. And she totally has to hold that skirt up.
Andrea - I really liked her previous week's look, but this is ... It could go either way. Either interestingly mod/clean lines or total mess. I don't think the big pouf in back works for me.
Alicia - Cool! I love the colors and the way she kept her style in the shaping, but made it fun and playful.
Elana - Oh, dear. Her dress is shedding. Shape is interesting (although slightly less so each time she sends it down the runway), but skirt is too short, making the look too boxy.
Fabio - I do love the color and the shiny sparkle of the bodice. Is the dress too basic, though? But it does look very pretty.
Dmitri - Well, it's very "club-wear", which is obviously his style. But it's sexy and fun and the beady swing is nifty and ... and damn, he made a slinky sexy club dress out of candy?! That's kind of amazing.
Kooan - It's very him - again, very street-pop-tastic. The back of the skirt? Whoa!!
Christopher - A nice, pretty little dress. but a bit safe/ordinary.
Raul - I really like this one. Looks very fabric, love the pop of red in the back. And it's a cool style, without being trying too hard. Nice!
Buffi - Well, it's kind of "hello I'm a 7 year old Barbi doll", but .... fun, I guess? Using the umbrella as a skirt is a bit of taking the easy road ...
Lantie - Yeah. It's some unbrella stuff with a few bits of candy glued on in patterns that a kindergartner would do. Oy.
Ven - Oh, this is very very nice! Sophisticated shaping and style, gorgeous colors and the way they're edged/piped? Very very very nice!!
Now, to quickly post before I watch who the judges pick for top and bottom!
