It's good. It just needs accessories and maybe the white could be a strong green or something. I had to do this really fast, so I picked the simplest "base dress" I could find. Agree a brighter color would be better . . . Also, what should be on her head? Some kind of hat . . . ? Something small, a bow or a fascinator would be great. I realize time was at issue (kind of like the real contestants). Talk about grace under pressure!

I kind of like the white background, actually. It's kind of .... modern / sleek, I guess? Plus that makes it like the background of the board game! (The candy bits on the tips of the shoes are fun! We could add more accessories by giving her a bracelet or anklet(s) to match. ;D

Candy dress: I like Cadbury purple, and shiny foil, so I'd make a dress out of purple with it turned back along the top to show silver, kind of like someone was unpeeling the dress off one shoulder. Oh, I like that idea! Very clever and it would be pretty too! And you could wear it to a fun party and then, when you go home with someone you like, they could unpeel and nibble you. Mmmmmm!

Judging! Buffi - Don't like that she used so much paper, overaccessorized too much, looks like a 5-year old/toddler, not so much fun more like insane, too easy way out, styling is too much. Sanjia - like the texture and shape, a pretty dress, they don't like the hat, very pretty, love the use of colors/blues, like the surprise at the back, Nina likes the costumy "go with the theme", adorable. Lantie - Same problems at last challenge, didn't transform it, just ornamented it, you seem like a decorator not a designer, once again had a time challenge, didn't really make an outfit of candy, "at least it's not atrocious" (Ouch!), getting tired of her not getting it together. Ven - He has great taste, a stunning dress, sublime, candy couture, on trend, refreshing, beautiful, love the surprise and discovery, clean, has a sense of humor but still chic, love the asymmetry, took it to an artistic level. Elena - They know it is her design, looks like a dress with noodles on it, model looks huge in it, Rigatoni Mad Max, suck the joy out of the candy, give no dimension to the model's shape, looks blocky, a cohesive look, but no spirit, no fun. Gunnar - Like that he created a print, chic, used licorice in a creative way, accessorized everything, would display in window, had fun doing it, serious but not, cute, like that he thought about it head to toe, transformation. Winner and aufer? Winner is Ven! Woot!! That was a really really gorgeous dress. I am pleased.
And they toss ... Lantie. Well, considering I thought they should have bounced her last time, I am not surprised.

Grrrrr.. forgot PR, forgot to check my package tracking and didn't find out until this morning that IDIOT FED EX delivered my contact lenses to somebody else yesterday.
Julia, in other news, Franklin left Griz out over night, so I need to go check for holes under the fence now.

I got my new bag today! The post office actually delivered it to the right packagebox AND the delivery person put the key in the right mailbox. It's a Tough Traveler bag just like my bigger tan canvas makeup bag www.toughtraveler.com/lug/Citibag.jpgbut handbag size and in a hunter green suedecloth. It even has a belt attachment so I can wear it handsfree if I want. It's much smaller than my leather purse but holds everything. SO after a morning spent reorganizing the bedroom and getting rid of a lot of non-fitting stuff, Bob and I both blew the budget buying bodacious bodywear. I have lots of new pants and some new tops. He has jeans, slacks and a nifty new sport coat. What is it about going on a trip that necessitates so much new clothing? I mean we're not even going on a cruise!

I have exactly three pair that I don't have to wear a belt with (and belts tend to give me lower back muscle spasms, isn't that fun) and they're all summer-weight. I will probably need to buy another three pair of heavy jeans and all new bras some time about October. Time to hit the lotto! JUlia, stupid getting fit
