As requested, here's a thread to talk about some possibilities for doing reviews, generating discussion, etc. How about we start a thread for actual discussion of the show in the ILLTV section or, if it lasts, its own thread headlined under the BtVS, Angel and Dollhouse threads? Stupid fingers.

I want to see if I'm going to like it before trying to suggest anything. When does it debut and on what network? Can we get a reminder system going?

I want to see if I'm going to like it before trying to suggest anything. When does it debut and on what network? Can we get a reminder system going? September 14 on ABC. Here's what I'm thinking: We're a Whedon site, and it's a Whedon show. I see Onjel's suggestion to add a thread to the I Love TV thread, but since Whedon shows are our specialty, it really should have its own section, like Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dollhouse. I'm fascinated to see how this turns out. This is the first Whedon show that's debuting on the Big Three, as well as being tied with what, the second biggest money-making movie after Titanic? Plus, J. August Richards? Anyway, I personally would love to do some reviews; I know I kind of fell apart on that score with Dollhouse, because it was too hard to manage my time while working on the thesis. Now I've got nothing BUT time. We need to make sure that if we do reviews, we can get them on the site in a timely fashion, which means we probably need to bring Vlad into the discussion.

Observation 1: The cast look like younger, American versions of Torchwood. That could be a good.

Vlad can give you the ability to post the reviews yourself - I used to post the VM and Spikecentricity reviews. But he does have to create that space for you and give you the password, and you have to have the software you need to access the server and upload the files. I can be part of a reviewer rotation if you need me. Just let me know. Also - we need to figure out where we are going to post "announcements" about our reviews. You're not supposed to plug your own reviews over on whedonesque, but surely we have a non-reviewer scubie who might be able to do that . . . Agents of Shield also seems to have a facebook and twitter page . . .

Also, if you want me to be the "review uploader" I can do that. It shouldn't be a problem to do it quickly; it is very easy to do once you get it set up.
Agree it should have its own thread ala Dollhouse.

Still distracted and pre-occupied with wedding issues.
But -- I did notice that SHIELD is scheduled opposite the #1 show and ratings juggernaut: NCIS.
Either ABC has incredible faith in Joss or someone thinks they've discovered the perfect "old demographic" vs "young demographic" counter-programming. [Of course, plenty of us will watch both, but it's so easy to record NCIS and watch any-time. I don't think I've ever felt a compulsion to watch right away.
