Welcome to Part 1152 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread!!!!
'Tis the season for parties, friends, family, drink and food. For quiet reflection, giving and receiving. For late nights and early mornings. For smiles and hugs. And, most of all, it's the season for the friendship, comradery and love our community members feel for each other.
Enough of that. Let's move onto the prezzies good bits.

Before you can tear off that wrapping paper open the rest of your presents, however, you should read Santa's Rules.
If you want to play Santa's helper, you can dress up in your favorite elf costume and deliver gifts of wisdom and thoughts on the topics of the day over Here.
For everyone who loves television, we have a whole area devoted to endless conversation about our favorite shows in The box with the big bow.
If you want to know how to stay on Santa's good side you'll remember to be nice and avoid spoiling us anywhere but in the Spoiled Souls thread or under the little ghost button provided for you in the reply screen.
So, be courteous to each other, have a great time, help yourself to the cookies, nog and presents and have yourselves a

Happy Holidays of all stripes, colors, shapes and flavors!
This was a pretty good one around here, although BiL and sister bailed on Aged Mum. But at least BiL emailed me yesterday in time for me to warn AM that they weren't coming after all.
Husband gave me a gift card for Staples so I could pick out my own Kindle, because he thinks I should have one. Everybody here liked their gifts, the cats seem to have forgiven us for shutting them in the house all day, and we got home before dark so they could go out for a bit.
*Hugs S'cubies, with extra hugs for Rich, just because it's good to see you again*

Merry Christmas, and a joyous New Year.
I'm moving slowly-Had trouble sleeping from the Solstice onward, and last night gave in and took a double dose of Acetominophen and Benadryl and am well-rested and yet doped up.
Since I'm sans help while Gwen is visiting her parents, I can't be entirely inert, no matter how dearly I yearn for that state.
Got a new very good telephoto lens for my Nikon for Christmas, and thus need badly to go out and do some serious photography, only not right now, when the sun is high and the glare levels are blinding.
Julia, hooray for Christmas Past
Mr Word, Mrs Word, all the little Words, their goldfish Word and their great-aunt Florence Corthingale (maiden name: Word) heartily agree with you.
Seriously. I totally get that. Anyhow, I can't wish you more than all the best in the coming year and am very happy for you. Most of all, have fun with the new job. *hugs* Hey, wish your mom a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for me.
