(I'm recycling, sorry!) Welcome to Part 1153 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread. We always seek to adapt to the times...
That being said, some things never change. Or sometimes they disappear and come back again, like our website. Want to revisit some of delightfully insightful reviews? They are all back at www.soulfulspike.com. Also, our continuing request to have you please put spoilers in the Spoiled Souls.
The world changes daily. We like to talk about it. But some topics are a bit more "sensitive" than others, so if you'd like to talk politics or religion or other "controversial" subjects, we've got the Open Topics Thread!
So, turn and face the strange changes, and post away!

It's not recycling (well, it is, but), it's reviving a classic!
Thanks for the shiny new part, Erinificus.
The girls and I had fun today, Shadow seems *crosses fingers* to have stopped throwing up, and Paul is home from his Manly Man Vision Quest to Scotty's Castle in Death Valley. Even the call with Aged Mum wasn't too excruciating. So things are good, and until the next Shoe of Damocles, I'm going to enjoy the quiet.

I have been absent and I see stuff has happened. I am so sorry I wasn't here to lend support. I've been alpha testing a game and it's quite time-consuming. I have gotten my old laptop working (not without an ac adapter, but hey) so I might be able to pop in during the evening. In case anyone is interested the game can be seen here. Thanks for the new thread, Erin.

So, just wondering, did any of you watch Broadchurch (starring David Tennant) when it was on BBC America? Because they are remaking it for the States (renamed Gracepoint). Now, I'm not a fan of remakes, but David Tennant stars in both, so...

Today's high by the patio thermometer was 92° with 9% rh. It is currently 83° with 9% rh.
Brushing cats is going to be an electrifying experience.

I'm also not a fan of remakes, so I will approach this one with extreme caution. Which network is doing it? That will make a difference. ETA: never mind, I found it. Fox is doing the remake. Approach with extreme caution. On the other hand, it looks like there will be a Broadchurch season 2, so that's something to look forward to eventually.

this afternoon BT is upgrading me to super fast broadband. So I will either see you much speedier or, you know, have a story to tell by the time I get back on here. :eyeroll:

And yeah, I did like the original very much, although at times it was difficult to watch. I might check out the Fox version, if only to see David Tennant try an American accent. In other TV news, apparently Starz is doing an Outlander miniseries...

*Big hug* to Julia for her recent ordeal. Thanks. They still haven't called me about a check-back with GI Associates, dammit; I figure that's better than otherwise news, sort of, but now that my birthday's over and the kids have gone back to their independant grown-up lives I may yet freak out. Julia, also people are screwing up left and right and I have to fix stuff, which is a drag.
