Follow-up to story above. Carolyn had already purchased Joss' biography for my Christmas present and sent it to LA with Blaine. They had DRINKS together! (which she didn't tell me) and BLAINE GOT MY BOOK SIGNED. Joss said it was the 1st (THE FIRST) copy he'd been asked to sign and covered the entire interior page: For SUE (but SUE is made to look 3D and doodled on) bestest, Joss Whedon -- the signature fills half the page. I opened the book as my first gift on Christmas and was setting it aside and all the kids told me I had to read the interior flap -- they loved my stunned reaction to the autograph! Hi, Onj. That is the coolest, Sue!!!! I am green with envy. if you get a chance and the time, can you post a pic of the signature?
If I ever figure out how. Haven't accessed my photobucket account in ages. I emailed it to your springsummers address, can you see it there? I'll try some time down the line. Have a wicked nasty cold, at least it waited until the kids were all gone.

Sue, I am going to try the "Add Attachment" button on the top right of the posting screen as an experiment to see if it will add a picture that you can open and see . . .
ALSO: FYI, Monnie and I had fun on Twitter razzing each other before the Sugar Bowl. Then we "watched together" with Sara as "referee." Sara claimed she had stocked up on booze to do the job. Anyhow, we were all three so tired we almost didn't make it to the end (Monnie actually did fall asleep). Of course, I'm sure Monnie was disappointed by the result, but I think she had some fun anyhow. I was excited to see the Buckeyes do so well with their third string QB - I have to admit I thought the Buckeyes were sunk when Miller went down, then I thought they were sunk when Barrett went down - so it has been a pleasant surprise to watch them this year.
Anyhow, lemme try that attachment thing . . ETA: It worked well! I hit the "Add Attachment Button" which allowed me to browse my files and select this pic. Then it said "insert or delete" and I picked "insert" and here it is - I did not have to use photobucket at all!

It would be a dream come true and worlds colliding if now he would just cast Blaine in something.

I got my hair cut and didn't dye it so now I'm going to be shiny :-)
I also have to organise a meeting where I sign things and give money to apply for a mortgage. So, that's... adult.
And potentially cool.

And potentially cool. Yay, becca! I went out today and ran errands. And they were all things I wanted to do, not things I needed to do for others. It's the first time I've run away from home without having to run useful errands in, probably, years. Yay, me?

Yay, ANNE!! Good to do things just for you now and then.
And Yay BECCA!! Very grown up and cool.
Roxanne hurt her foot something awful while wrestling this weekend - yes, that's right, she wrestles, with boys mostly. It is BRUTAL to watch her do it. And she got hurt pretty badly this weekend. They thought the ankle was broken, because so much swelling and bruising, but it turned out to be an awful, awful sprain (8 wks to complete recovery, per the doc). We were in the ER until 2:30AM on Sat night.
The youngest, who is still my foster child, "Mandy," keeps going back and forth about wanting to be adopted by me. She says she's interested in this other family and will probably go visit them. I suspect she is testing me and wants me to stop her, but I can't really do that. I do tell her, "well, I love you and you know I want to adopt you, but I want you to be happy and I want whatever is best for you." And she says "Oh, don't say that! Stop giving me so much love!!!" Yep, that does make it all harder and more confusing, I suppose. She's a cutie, but que sera, sera.

(I'm recycling, sorry!) Welcome to Part 1153 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread. We always seek to adapt to the times...
That being said, some things never change. Or sometimes they disappear and come back again, like our website. Want to revisit some of delightfully insightful reviews? They are all back at www.soulfulspike.com. Also, our continuing request to have you please put spoilers in the Spoiled Souls.
The world changes daily. We like to talk about it. But some topics are a bit more "sensitive" than others, so if you'd like to talk politics or religion or other "controversial" subjects, we've got the Open Topics Thread!
So, turn and face the strange changes, and post away!OMG !! I missed the disappearing website. Was it horrible as I imagine it would be? Thanks for doing the heavy lifting, Erin. I've been a bad technopagan.

Was it Julia and/or Anne who were the big Warehouse 13 fans? The new TNT show "The Librarians" looks to be similar. although I guess you can't call it a copycat because the actual first Librarian movie was more than several years ago -- long before Warehouse 13. I remember stumbling upon it accidentally and thinking that it was a TV-ripoff version of Indiana Jones but still being thoroughly entertained. I find Noah Wylie charming. And it was pretty tongue in cheek. Anyway, also: Christian Kane is one of the co-leads. The Librarians is very similar. And Christian, even with short hair, is one of my favorites - and love to see him still kickin on these similar genre shows. Rebecca Romaine is fun to watch too. In a non-gay way, of course. lol
