<snip> I just think that in this instance she and Wes are headed for baaad stuff- related to their mutual "greyness" about professor Seidel, her whole indecisiveness regarding Knox, their both acceding too readily to W&H- Wes has not had any action since Season 2- he needs some relief Angel has had Buffy,Darla,EveL and romantic interest with Cordy, Kate,Electro-girl and wolf girl- time to spread around the tension- I want Spike to storm Heaven and bring Cordy back- but I think that Gunn and maybe Lindsey would protest- they both seem so preoccupied with what the Senior Partners want- ellie I agree, there's badness in the offing as well, but that could be overcome if the writers wanted. Of course, no, because we don't want there to be any happy relationships, now, do we? Okay, maybe that's an overreaction - Willow/Oz was fairly happy, up to the end, which wasn't that horrific an end, by college standards. And Willow/Tara was pretty happy, too - they even managed to work through some very serious relationship control issues - of course, then the only way out was to kill poor Tara. Sigh. In retrospect, there are many happy/mostly healthy relationships in Buffy/Angel history - it's just that they never end in happily ever after. Or even generally content ever after. They end in cheating and death and leaving at the altar. Sigh.

Hey, Dev - hope I do as well w/my review for ep. 15 - also a first!
I'm also sorry to see Cordy go - I've watched AtS from the beginning. I wasn't really keen on C/A at first, but it kinda grew on me after awhile. Cordy could keep that big, bold b*St*rd in line as Buffy never could. Buffy subordinated herself to Angel, while Cordy made it clear she was her own woman. OTOH, I'm in the I'd watch JM read the phonebook camp, so I'm grateful I still get my weekly Spike fix.
