So, if Syler's power is that he absorbs the power of the heroes by eating their brains, and Peter's power might be that he absorbs the powers in a limited manner by being in contact with a hero, then could Syler be Peter and Nathan's father, who really didn't commit suicide and Nathan knows this and is trying to protect Peter? Hmm... A very interesting theory you've got yourself there. And it would definitely be one helluva twist. Myself, I wonder if the brothers can only fly when they're in proximity to each other--like the Wondertwins, but without the need for actual physical contact. Yes, I thought that might be a possibility, too. I was trying to cut Nathan a break as to why he was being such an ass to Peter.

Before I read anything else - my reaction to last night's episode: This show seriously owns the whacked out, my eyes didn't just see that endings. The autopsy scene - okay then. That was seriously gross. I assumed Claire was just playing dead but to come to while you are being autopsied? A perfect Stephen King horror moment. So I guess we discovered that Claire can be stopped, maybe not killed, but neutralized if you stick something in her brain stem. And that rape scene sure came out of nowhere. I loved the scenes with Peter trying to fly. Hee, hee. I think I am now on the train that Peter absorbs other people's powers rather than having one of his own. This fits with the only being able to float, Nathan sweating, etc. And could Nathan have been any more of a dick last night? I'm glad Peter punched him out but also a little sad because I liked Nathan. The scene where Hiro stopped time to save the schoolgirl - all kinds of awesome. And I love that his friend is now in it with him. I like him. Niki's storyline seemed a bit negligible last night and Simone, for my money, is the weak link in the cast. I dislike all the scenes she is in. Could Sylar take her out next? (Oh I didn't mean it) And speaking of Sylar, loved all the scenes with Matt and Clea Duvall's character. Why does Sylar want this little girl so much anyway? And so Sylar is telekinetic and did he just disappear or fly there? I need to rewatch that scene again. Great episode. If Peter is a power-sponge, he could be the good to counterbalance Sylar's evil. That'd get interesting.

Hee. This telepathy thing is good for improving one's social skills. Dude with symbol thingee necklace. Can he block the telepathy? Or something? Is that Sylar?
Dammit! And how the hell did whoever clean it out so fast? Falling out between brothers. She took longer to come to this time. I don't think it's Sylar. They made a big point of NOT letting us see Sylar's face during the scene with Matt so I'm voting for henchman.

I think he was moving both the gun and NotMarcie as objects, not that he had control over her body; if he did have complete control over her actions, then she wouldn't have been able to resist his attempt to make her pull the trigger. That she could resist tells me he was either trying to force her finger to move in the same way he would if he had his hand physically there or his control over her body was at best incomplete. Hmm... Oooo - interesting. I think Peter is going to be facing some conflicts - don't superheroes always face them anyway - but if he can absorb power then does he use it for good? Is he tempted by the dark side? Luke/Darth analogies abound.

Dude. How many powers does Sylar have? Or is he just a really skilled telekinetic, and thus was able to stop the bullets before they hit him? Hmm - I think he's eating the brains of these other heroes and then getting their powers. Or he started as Patient zero with all the powers - or he has Peter's ability to absorb other's powers. One of the above but there has to be a reason for all the missing brains. He has to be doing something with them and Claire's brain factored into last night's episode, as in she couldn't use her powers with something in her brain. So is Claire going to die every week?Hee! I hope so. Maybe 'daddy' really is there to protect her, especially if he knows of Sylar. Protect her for his own evil uses. I knew the actor looked familiar! He played Steven (#2) on Dynasty a long time ago.

NBC announcer. Grr. Arggh. Mohinder can read the telephone book and that would be peachy with me. Also grrr argh with the really unsubtle product placement. The make and model of car Hiro insisted they had to rent because it was in the comic had been heavily advertised in several previous commercial breaks. Now, if he'd just kept saying "this car, this car" and pointing at the picture, that'd be one thing, but he actually specified make and model several times. That was tacky. Nissan whatsis, the car of Super-Hiros. I just thought it was kind of cute, like everything Hiro does. But of course, I missed the commercials.

Yeah, dad creeped me out when he kissed Claire good bye and told her to be careful. Maybe he's sincere. Ando is Hiro's sidekick. Well, I hope he'll say yes to coming along. Those two crack me up. Bad Glasses Daddy gives off a strong creepy pedophile air whether the actor is trying to do that or not. The kiss and last week's little moment was just all kinds of creepy to me. I don't actually think he is a pedophile - he just gives off that air. I have clearly seen too many reruns of L&O - Special victim's unit. Yeah, I got that too. And so did the twop recapper. The show's gotta be careful about that.

Maybe the little girl has the same power as her father that Sylar killed and took his brain? I know we know the identity of the artist he killed, but do we know who the guy in the house was? *brain explodes*

Boy - this is an addictive show in the I want to talk about every aspect of it, isn't it?
Ohh - good point that Barroom guy is Niki's husband. Very nice - that could work, I like it.
I'm fascinated to see what the repercussions of Claire's autopsy will be. I mean - you can't just pass something like this off.
Matt needs to find a Vulcan or someone from Darkover stat because he will lose his mind if he can't build up any mental barriers to keep the constant flow of thoughts flying into his brain.
And I doubt Angel will be dropping off any demon hearts for him to eat anytime soon either.

So, here's a spoiler question: would providing a definitive answer to this question constitute a spoiler if it's based on material publically available to everyone? And by that I don't mean an online column or gossip reporter, but material released by NBC itself.

Color very important in this episode. red, red, everywhere red. particularly against washed-out backgrounds (very dark or very light).
