I loved that scene! I was just admiring her manicure. Heeeeee! Well, you know it's that final fire-finish that gives them the extra shine. ;D

DL is pathetic and needs to die or at least get his ass kicked severely by Jessica.
That or the writers need to have a blog somewhere where they explain why it was okay for Jessica to support herself and Michah for months end by being an internet stripper and making deals with the mob (while ALSO making adequate pack lunches) but all it takes is Micah hearing his dad making one whiny little "I'm having trouble paying the rent" phone call and having one highly inappropriate father-to-son "I don't feel like a man" conversation before Micah comes out with HIS little secret and a backpack full of cash.
Just sayin.

Or D.L. is actually supposed to be a complete useless git? (one who, hopefully, will grow and change out of his gitdom.)

I couldn't see it outside that. Maybe next week.

Loved it. I don't think Matt had to be a mind-reader to know that his wife wanted him to call the plumber this time. Hee. Hiro said "Never surrender, never give up". Admittedly, it was wrapped in more words, but he said it. I do love Hiro, and Ando. What a team. Anne, now I can finally read the thread, I was good last night and didn't look P.S. Matthew, "Papa Bear"? Mr Bennet is really O'Reilly? Actually, that explains quite a bit. P.P.S. I was not surprised when Sylar wasn't dead. Well, now we'll find out if Claire's dad has a power of his own. Yet another P.S. Mr Bennet never ages? Intriguing idea. Maybe he made a bargain with demons, and he's going to turn into a giant demonic snake at Claire's graduation... One more thing: Shan

Aw. Hiro. This is how we roll. I hope he or Ando don't come to regret that choice. So, there are 36 names on the list and Peter's abilities are either enhanced or go whacky depending on who he comes in contact with. Who was he near when he got all pale in the jail cell - Ted? I've been trying to figure that out too. Ted would seem logical, based on his dreams later. But does that work, logistically? Has he ever been around the HRG? *tries real hard to think of a scene with them together* He might be the barometer as to who's not worthy. That would mean that Nathan is worthy, since he doesn't seem to be negatively affected by him. Also, apparently Claire, Isaac, Claude. Oh, that's where he saw the HRG - and Claire - in the hospital and he got sicker.

I'm thinking he stood in nicely as an example of a guy who wants to be a good dad, but hasn't really had the single parent experience and is now realising and struggling with how hard it is. His first reaction is sort of panic-y and "I don't know if I can do this". But after a very helpful and encouraging talk from Niki and a blunter, not as kindly, wake up call from Micah, he sets out to try and make things better. Not perfectly done, but trying. Of course, by then, things have been worsened by Micah's decision to take matters into his own hands, but that's kind of a nice metaphor for how RL can go too . . . **lots of huggles given to Shan**

Hiro knows how a hero should react and he's following the classic comic/SF book/SF movie steps. I loved when he asked if this was the "secret headquarters". ;D ;D An excellent observation. ;D

It's interesting to compare this family with the single-parent family in Tim Kring's other show - Jordan was raised by her dad, a Boston police detective, after the murder of her mom. Max Cavanaugh's idea of quality time was to re-enact cold cases with his little girl, to see if they could solve them. Jordan could also use some boundaries and a firm hand, but I suspect she's a bit too grown up, and it's too late for that. Anne, for whatever that is worth

This could also be one of the reasons that HRG wants that list so Badly, to keep the fact he has a power off of the radar! it does seem to be pointing to the fact that he does have an ability, and if so, I really cant wait to see what the hell it is!!!!!

Maybe everybody else already knew this but this week's TV Guide has Heroes on the front and in the big inside article consistently refers to Claire's dad as "HRG" (really, shouldn't that be Horned Rim Glasses Guy?). Which tickled me.

Which tickled me. Hee! Should be, but that's the way the fans on the blogs referred to him, so that's probably what the article picked up on. So connected now - the net, where years ago the fans on the net were probably most discounted.

Does that mean he is flawed, or that he just needed to be tested? Maybe it means he might be useful - he's a politician, he's running for office, they might just want to keep an eye on him. Also, if they know his power, HRG and his Initiative have leverage against Nathan, especially if he wins the election. Friends in government (or at least, tools) are a very good thing.
