Ok. Sylar talking about peace and destiny and stealing the dead guy's DNA while being all gosh golly innocent with Mo-mo? Creepy!!! But following up Mohinder's "I could find hundreds, thousands" statement by suggesting he come along to help? Uber-creepy to the creeped out max. Oh, Ando. Don't believe her! I think he was starting to question the idea that Hiro would leave him, say he didn't need Ando any more. But then she distracted him with a kiss. And now I'm wondering about the whole "she was very strong" thing. Poor Hiro, locked in the storage closet and facing the angry gaming police guy with "I come in peace". ;D Oh, Matt, Matt, Matt. Slipping over to the dark side, you are. When you have the ability to hear everyone's thoughts, you're going to hear all the petty nasty stuff that people tuck away. That doesn't mean you need to join them in their gutter. Holy holy crap! Mrs HRG doesn't even know her dog or her daughter?! She is so messed up now. Mohinder's voice over talking about losing trust. Losing faith in the people we counted on. Good commentary on our fragemented heroes. They're all losing their way, meeting people who can lead them away from the good path. All you can do is run, eh? I'd say that all they should be doing is finding each other again.

Poor Claire. She might end up with no one. Her step-mom looks like she's lost all her memories. And where has Claire's brother been? Good question. Where is the brother? Hope he hasn't been mind-wiped away altogether. I'm glad the birthmom at least offered him a chance to meet Claire. Offering to call her. But she did it all in a way that made it . . . very easy for him to take the easy way out. Of course, he did take that easy way out once it was offered. I'd like to think that Ando would have protested more and been more sceptical if she hadn't distracted him. I wonder why she wants him along anyway? Why not just take the bag and run? (To keep with the theme of the ep. ) I wonder if Niki is learning she has more power than she or Jessica thought.

ok episode. Glad they didnt kill off Parkman, although things are not looking good for Mrs. Bennett.
Sylar's eyes just lit up when Mo said he may be able to find hundreds or thousands of others.
Has anyone other than HRG or the Haitian seen Sylar? He could just hook right up with Mo and have access to anyone that Mo finds. This is most disturbing.
I come in Peace! ROFL gotta love Hiro! Also loved Ando throwing all the sayings of a Hero back at Hiro! If Hiro is closer to the sword shouldnt he have some of his power back, Just curious.

Interesting episode. Was it just me, or were some of the scene transitions kind of choppy, like there'd been a few seconds cut here and there? Probably to fit in more commercials. Good comments, S'cubies. I don't know what else I can add, except this, if I can make it make sense: In this world, being a "hero" doesn't mean being perfect, and having super power doesn't solve all your problems. Sometimes it makes things worse. Matt was ready to turn the diamonds over to the Vegas police until he heard the other cop's thinking that Matt was finished as a cop. That was what pushed him into keeping the diamonds, IMO. Then there's the whole Niki/Jessica thing - her power became part of the problem rather than solving it. There's no black and white, all good/all evil in this show; lots of grey, lots of choices. Very Joss Whedon of them. Gotta love it. Oh, and I don't think Hiro has lost his power. He's lost the ability to connect with it; I think that happened when he couldn't save Charlie. He needs to stop thinking so much and go on instinct, then he'll be able to use his power again. I just hope it's in time to rescue Ando, because it looks like Ando's got himself into real trouble.

I rather liked this episode. I liked how the writing is starting to suggest more shades of gray, such as Nathan being the softie with his mother and, imo, really really being tempted to get to know Claire. I wonder if part of his reason for staying away is that he's been told she's in a good home and he doesn't want her to get mixed up in trouble, which seems to follow him around. I also like that Matt took the diamonds. It's not "really bad" in my book, since they represent "Linderman blood money" anyway and he does need to provide for his coming baby. Brings up the whole "how do heroes survive" theme nicely. And Claire's birth mom is fitting nicely into that gray area.
Some questions...
*We're all assuming Linderman is a very very bad guy....or gal, right?
*Why does Linderman now want Nathan dead? Did I miss something?
*Does Nathan know or suspect Claire is special? What about his younger kids? Did he actually look at the pic of Claire on the phone? He seemed to look away, as if he was following his mother's advice not to get "caught" by the eyes of his child. Would he recognize her from the news reports of the high school massacre, seeing as how Peter was directly involved?
*I'm thinking there has to be some mitigating circumstances for HRG's treatment of Mrs. HRG. This just seems too terrible. Maybe she has consented to be mindwiped for some reason, knowing the cost? Or maybe she's evil, and determined to hurt Claire, and this is HRG's way to keep her under control?
*Didn't Hope call Hiro Sulu when she punched him? LOL

Hiro and Ando - less than 2 weeks to the big boom. Ah, a damsel in distress. Hope?! Heeee! Well, I guess they must "have her" then. ;D Matt's mind reading helping already; at least he knows this is a dangerous situation he's heading toward. Mohinder gets one call back, at least. He's getting a taste for how hard it was for his dad to get through to people. Why is it when you want something, it's destiny, but when I do, it's coincidence? Oooh, Ando. You got him there. And it turns out the woman can trade favors for them and hopefully get them to see Linderman, plus help with disguises and so forth. So, they do the whole sit com sneak into room thing. Oh. My. That's a big gun. "Stop saying the things I say to you." Heee heeeee! Hiro, hoist on his own petard. ;D And now Ando is trapped. But at least he's not as bad off as this poor Zane Taylor fellow. Sylar!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEK! I know. And I hate it that Sylar's victims are so likeable. First Charlie and now Zane. I liked Zane. Rotten Sylar.

Poor Claire. She might end up with no one. Her step-mom looks like she's lost all her memories. And where has Claire's brother been? Her birthmother is a real piece of work - cheating her out of her 'half' of the hush money that Nathan is giving to her. Loved how she threw that rock at Nathan, who was visibly shaken by the fact that he has a daughter. With tears, even. Ando - easily swayed by a tall blonde with a promise. How can he believe that Hiro would leave without him So, what did happen to Niki? It looked like she escaped from the mirrors. Is she on the run, too? Random observations: Nathan saw the picture of the cheerleader yes? Of course, she wasn't recognizable as an individual I guess, but didn't he know Peter went to Texas to save the cheerleader? Do you think he has any suspicions at all. [EDIT: brainshare with KM!] Personally, I'd like to get rid of Sylar and move on to another villain (like "24" I'm betting there are levels and sub-consipiracies, etc.) I don't like him. Unfortunately they chose the actor too well....just seeing the actor creeps me out. What kind of "ability" is "melting things?" It certainly would be inconvenient if you couldn't control it. Okay, really feeling sorry for Mr. Muggles.

I was all - "No- that's his daddy!" LOL! Hmm...Sulu had a fascination with swords, too. Guess it goes with the territory. HRG's treatment of Mrs. HRG is something that Claire isn't going to be able to forget, I think. I think that the mindwipe thing must not work if used too much. I mean. How do you pick and choose what memories to wipe? Maybe that's something that HRG didn't know before - that mindwiping like that alters a person too much? It seemed to me that Nathan didn't recognize Claire, or as you say, didn't look that closely at her. Linderman seems to be a bad guy/girl at this point. I missed seeing Claude and Peter last night. But seeing Mohinder was good. Sylar is going to get so powerfu (gah - is he a creepy guy)l - it'll be hard to stop him. Can he be swayed to use his powers for good after doing so much evil? Or even if he could, would they let him? //tangent//

I haven't seen the episode yet, but ponder this: Jessica might be the only one powerful enough to be a physical match for Sylar and Niki might be able to push Jessica into a space where she has to take Sylar on. I don't know. It just occurred to me and I have no idea how it would work or where it would fit in.

I don't know. It just occurred to me and I have no idea how it would work or where it would fit in. Good thought. I can see a scenario where Jessica might have to rescue Micha from Sylar. For all her bad-assness, she does have a soft spot for her son. I wonder if Peter will learn how to control his power enough so that if he ever comes in contact with Sylar he could use all of Sylar's stolen abilities against him.

So, the title is apt. "Run!"
Most everyone in the ep is running for their lives at some point, with the exception of Claire (she runs, but not because she's in danger right that second).
Even the "secondary" characters in this ep are running - Claire's biological mom is taking the money and running, and Nathan's been running since we met him.

And character moral ambiguity got deeper in this ep. Someone we've thought of as a good guy, up to this point - is now a diamond thief. Nathan has always been extra-ambiguous, and that only increased this time. Claire's mom...yeah, well, not sure if that's ambiguity or just plain old not being a good person. But she seemed torn - didn't try to extort the money, but once she had it, she wasn't honest about it in the slightest.
