So, now we know why Glenn disappeared from the offices of the Yale Daily News; he had the potential to melt all the computers!
I mentioned in my review of "Distractions" (soon to be posted, I hope!) that I was worried about the physiological implications of Mrs. Bennet's headaches...and wow, they paid that off quickly. When she first complained about her head hurting, I had a Joyce Summers' flashback.
And nobody's in a really good place right now; I'm worried that Mohinder isn't long for this world...that maybe his voiceovers are from beyond the grave...

I think Mohinder is safe - from Sylar, anyway. Sylar does seem to be targeting only the special ability people, or why wouldn't he have killed HRG?

Mohinder is Sylar's best resource to locate more of the special people. You don't kill the hound that can find your quarry/prey. If Mohinder finds out he's being used, and by the guy who murdered his father, and refuses to cooperate, that'd be another matter.

Altering the structure of matter and playing with molecules would be neat, if you could control it. If you couldn't, it's all pudding. Icky pudding, too, I'll bet. Rice, or tapioca, lumpy like that. HEY! I happen to like both rice and tapioca pudding. It is not "icky." *Considers calling Onjel about a slander/libel/defamation case.* Vlad

Teaser
Picking up right with this scene.
Nathan thought Meredith was dead.
Meredith didn't start the fire? Or is she just pretending she didn't?
Maybe one day she'll run for congress.
Nathan's only concern is the election.
And Meredith pushes that button.
Buying her off. Nathan's not too happy about doing that.
I like Claire's outfit.
So all this mind wiping is having a toll.
I'm handling it.
Run, Claire, Run! and take your mom and Zach with you.
Covering up the tattoo.
Matt got a job as security. Going with the David of Six Feet Under plotline.
That was a quick cut. Lots of quick cutting.
Nikki working as an assassin.
Cool cut.
So that's how it's going to go down.

Part I
Hiro and Ando back in Vegas.
Hope.
Wow, what an outfit.
She's Hope. Aha!
Nobody will talk with Suresh. Not surprising.
Zane Taylor.
Helping Hope is going to give Hiro his powers back, I bet.
She knows of Linderman.
Dressed up as the staff.
So it's the old Ocean's 11 trick.
This is Zane. Rich geek?
No!!! Sylar got there first. Again.

Part II
Sylar's got some OCD?
Mommy Patrelli is a little more scheming then I thought she was.
Cool shot with the mirror and reflection.
Nathan and Meredith actually were close. Nathan wants to do the right thing.
Hiding the necklace.
Daddy Bennett is onto Claire.
You're not my real father.
That was wierd. re: Claire meeting Nathan.
Dealing with Linderman.
Matt's telepathy comes in handy. Will this guy exploit that?
This guy used to work for Linderman. He stole the $2 mil.

Part III
Damn, she's playing them.
Sulu. SNERK!!!!!
So she can jump from mirror to mirror. Like the pictures in Hary Potter.
She got out of the picture.
Matt's hearing both of them.
That weapon could have gone off when she dropped it over the railing.
WHOA!
Saved by a.... Billboard?

Part IV
Poor Claire's going to be so disappointed when she meets Peter.
Maybe not, if she's just expecting him to have power and money.
Meredith basically tells he exactly that.
Only 50K? Yeah, she's planning a scam or something.
Dead, dead, dead.
Oh, that's right. Suresh hasn't seen Sylar yet.
Also walking around whatever's on the floor.
Sylar's wearing Zane's clothes.
He absorbed Zane's geekiness too?
The Peak Experience.
So Zane could melt things. That's what all the stuff on the floor was.
Nice, Claire's listening in.
Nathan puts it together.
Claire breaking my heart here.

Coda DNA sample now? After he's been identified as having the marker? Or blah blah fauxscience headdesk. Sylar really wants to belong, or wants an identity or be special or something, doesn't he? Oh, Hope, you really suck. Don't fall for it Ando! Poor Hiro. State Gaming Commission. Oh no. Poor Matt can't ever catch a break He's gonna pocket the diamonds. NO!!!!!! Yay Mohinder VO She doesn't even remember Mr. Muggles? OMG, this is like a child's worst nightmare. Taking a hit out on Nathan.

Dude! Totally. But, he may get into her head in a way that no one else can . . . And how perfect was it, Micah saying "I just feel like we should be fighting crime or something"? Children can be so direct, just coming right out with "are we gonna talk about it?" - flat out bringing up the topic the adults are dancing around. I also liked the very subtle blackmail by Claire's birth mom. That quiet "maybe some day she'll run for congress". Although I'm not sure she was really angling for money, necessarily. He just tossed out the big amount and she went for it. But I think it surprised her. Plus, the whole "someone was out to get me" thing she said, which makes me think that HRG's organization was behind the fire and that's how he got Claire. Oooh, and what about poor Mrs. Bennet? Do we think the headaches are just from her injury or are all the mind-wipes starting to take their toll? I thought Claire was going to lose it with her step-dad! Mrs. Bennet looked trashed! Oh - what a scene with Ando and Hiro in that man's (does he look familiar?) hotel room! Very tense. I kept waiting to for the shower to turn off. Yikes! Run!! So, what do you think is poor Zane's power? Figures that creepy Sylar would show up. Coincidence? Oh, speaking of coincidences - how crazy was the tall blonde named Hope? Of course Ando would gravitate towards another tall blonde. Wasn't he a Secret Service Agent on 24 last year?

I knew I'd seen him before. He reminds me of that guy who played my favorite Secret Service agent from last year's 24. Speaking of people we recognize, I never noticed that "President Logan" was on Firefly, specifically, "Jayne'stown".

He was also Tom Cullen in "The Stand"; I made a bit of a reference to that in my review... Not that I'm plugging my review or anything.

Sara:
I'm in total agreement with you; I was so happy not to have to write a review of "Run!" It was a very difficult episode to peg. I'd even go so far as to say it was filler, or at least a placeholder for the bigger things to come. (Hey, some episode has to function as that, right?) Yet, with your amazing skill, you were able to find something to hold on to within the episode; your blow-by-blow of each character's decision between "right" and "easy" was spot on. I think, in any "hero" saga, there are going to be those moments where the hero choose "easy" over "right," and the inevitable consequences match that person's "super" status (ie, badness).
And I too am impressed at your skill at making both Hiro and Ando wrong, even on opposite sides!
Masterful work, Sara; not that I expected anything less! Bravo!
